Thread: Teeny tiny mod idea...

  1. #1

    Default Teeny tiny mod idea...

OK, I'm utterly skint atm, so can't afford to do anything major to my car, but would my car look good if I replaced the SX badges with some different ones? eg. Furio/VTS? Any suggestions and comments welcome!

I would say that 90% of people on here would say "Don’t badge your car up as something its not" Personally i don’t think it makes much difference i.e. wouldn't look any better or worse,

If you want to change your badges go for it!

The idea really was just to make the car different from every other C2 on Sussex's roads. Most of them are SXs driven by old people, which is annoying, so I just wanted to differentiate myself from them but cheaply!

No, due to you havn't got a bodykit or spoiler, a Furio and Vtr/s have the bodykit, so it is a bit of a give away.
Mine has gone back to a Furio today, the VTR+ badges are off.

Would I be able to put the SX badges in a different place then, like your badges, Simon? But then again, I'd feel stupid because 2 or 3 other people here have done that too.

My mate did something like that, by making 'JO' with badges and putting them under the Peugeot badge on the back of her 106. I don't want to do that with EMMA, because that would be really copying! I think I'll ask her where she bought the letters and make SeXy.

Can you please confirm that you CAN remove any badges from the C2 and put them back on easily when it comes to resale time? My dad's convinced that it will knock a chunk of the resale value off the car if I remove the badges, and that it will look really stupid! You can tell he's old, can't you?

The side badges are held on with double sided sticky foam. (No holes) They may break, but don't worry.
Then the remaining glue just rubs off, t-cut paint to get the paint back to shinny
The original badges from citroen are about £1.50 each.

Best thing to do if you dont want people to know its an SX is to just remove all the badges and dont replace them with any others. You could leave it their imagination :P

First thing I did was get a kettle of hot water and take my SX badges off the side of the car, then have put a HDi badge on the back, nice and subtle is best

Only problem is that mine's not an HDi, and it might look a little silly with 1.1 on the back...actually, what do you reckon?
