Default JVC Aftermarket headunit won't turn off

So i have a bit of a dilemma. I recently got a new headunit so I could use aux within my c2, however after buying the adaptor needed to make the dash and locks work, the radio doesn't seem to turn off.

I've tried switching the red and yellow wires on the radio itself, I've tried plugging both the red and yellow wire into the red on the radio as there are connectors that allow you to do that.

But no matter what, it won't turn off. The radio is a JVC KD-DB65 if that helps.

    Thanks

Use the cigarette lighter as an ignition live , pick it up from there , then it will power down correctly
