Make sure you check all the vacuum hoses as they normally spilt.
Do you know what engine code you have

its not an easy one have to bin the elec steering so exhaust fits, manufacture some engine mountings ,the subframe has to be cut where the diff goes move rad to infront of the front panel fit 2 fuel lines down the chassis ,fit hydraulic rack, then theres the wiring fuel pump intercooler driveshafts different front hubs and brakes ,gear linkage ,clutch pedal, its a long long list and not an easy one

Hi is there any chance you'd be willing to share what steering rack you've used as my pas is intermittent and I'm doing a big power diesel conversion. Very soon and would like to convert rack to hydraulic ?

its not a straight fit ,its a Peugeot 206 rack but you have to make brackets for it as it mounts at the front not the rear and it is very close to the antiroll bar.update on the rack its now changed to a Renault clio2 rack easier to pipe in but the column shaft needs extending

I used the same rack when I started the ew conversion and I fabricated the engine bed to suit this rack , you can then run the 106/ 307 electro hydraulic pump or rune the engine driven one

Yea that's what I was thinking trek as my engine has the bracket to run the pas pump with built in reservoir so should stay quite compact. Does the steering column fit straight on and just a case of fabricating mounting points?

You have to alter the bed as C2 rack mounting points and 206gti rack mounting points are on opposite sides ,as far as I,m aware the c2 column fits straight on , ( my set up was just a try out in a bare shell

Cheers for the info lads as I say I'm planning on swapping the rack when I swap the engine so that should give me a little more room for fabricating and what no also my exhaust will be running through the top of of the subframe so really need to do this conversion. So is it a 206 gti rack that I need ? And what track rods and ends will I use ? Thanks for info fellas

just the normal 206 1.4/1.6 and the Peugeot 206 rod ends ,ive trimmed the front axle and welded it for the brackets or you can drill and sleeve it bit you still have to re shape the axle beam, now changed to Renault clio 2 rack.
