Default C2 VTR '03 Canadian edition progress thread

    Hi there !

First of all, I will try to do my best in English but I'm better in French.

So, I got a C2 from 2003 in 2012. This is my first car and I've made some modification since the day I got it.

When I got it there was already :

    - Sony autoradio
    - Focal subwoofer 25 a1 ( http://www.focal.com/france/car-audi...056750603.html )
    - Ethanol kit

    What I change :

    - Tint the glass by professional
    - Xenon 6000 k on headlight and fog light
    - All the audio in the front of the car is Focal
    - Audio at the back is Sony ( not a really good one but that's ok for the bass )
    - change all LED one by one to put almost everything in blue
    - change the " calandre " for a S1600 one
    - front pipe and center pipe INOX by SuperSprint

    Soon :

    - SuperSprint muffler

The car will be ship in few month/year to Canada because I'm living there since some month. Hopefully it will be the first Citroen C2 in Canada ( and maybe in North America ).

I need to make some modification on it to import it to Canada and I got some questions for you guys.

Before all question, here is some picture of the C2 :

Welcome, looks like a nice tidy example. I would like to hear more about the ethanol kit. You may well be the first Canadian member.

    Thanks .

Well technically I'm always French but the plan is to become Canadian so .

Anyway for the Ethanol, I got the car with the kit in October 2012 but the kit was not powered. The previous owner doesn't want to try it and it was installed by another previous owner ( the C2 had a BIG history and many owners but she is in really really good shape ).

Because of the price of fuel, I decided to run exclusively with Ethanol.

So from December 2012 to January 2015 I've made almost 40 000 km with 100 % ethanol. The car was 89 000 km and now it's like 137 000 km.

Everything works well, the average fuel usage was 10 L with Ethanol ( something like 9 with regular fuel ).

Sometimes I got the orange warning on dashboard because of " system fuel too lean " but the car always started immediately even when it's come to -5 celsius outdoor.

In the last month I worked with 80 % ethanol 20 % SP 98 which works better with just few more Euros at the gas station.

This is the kit : http://www.powersystem.fr/FR/fiche_produit_e85.php

Thanks, that's so much work ( at my level ).

In order to import the car in Canada I need to put some side marker on it. I will manage something with Austin mini side marker. I will put them like that :

That's not my car and it's a shitty photoshop but I think you will get the idea .

The only thing that I can find is where I need to plug the wire in order to turn on the side marker as soon as I start the engine.

    If anyone know...

The second thing is that I need to put my headlight in DRL mode. In fact in need them to turn on as soon as I start the engine too. This is another Canadian law...

I've read that's possible on C3 MK2 with Lexia option but I can't find any information to do that on C2 MK1...

    Hi there !

I've one question and I don't want to open a thread just for that so I use this one.

Did you know where I can find a price for this car hood :

My C2 will hopefully be in Canada soon so I want to know if I need to order it from Europe prior to send the car .

    Thanks !

PS : more news to come in some weeks with side marker modification and cargo shipping.

That just looks like a standard bumper that's been smoothed, I stand to be corrected though.

I know what a hood is

The bonnet is the same as any other C2 bonnet so he's clearly referring to the bumper

Looks like it's had some extra metal welded onto a normal bonnet to make it cover the lights slightly

The grill part definately looks like it has been moulded to bumper

He asked if anyone knew where he could get that hood,

The grill is part of the bumper anyway, it's had the top part smoothed over.

The bonnet has been extended to partially cover the top of the lights

    Little update :

After some problem with the snowflake and a battery remplacement, the car is on the road to the boat and will hopefully be in Canada by the end of September.

Side Marker was add to the body as the Quebec law ask.

Here is some pictures of the car, if everything works great with the boat and when the car will be in Canada, update will be more frequently and modification will continue ( I can't wait to add SuperSprint muffler to my INOX SuperSprint line ).

    Long time no post...

I had my car in garage for almost 1 year and half now because of some electrical issue and especially because of snowflake / clutch actuator issue. It can be challenging tu solve this kind of issue when you live almost 7000 km away from any PSA dealership but today I'm glad to tell you that my car is running again ! We replaced the clutch actuator by a new one from Sachs ( 277 euros ), did a new learning with Lexia and everything seems fine ! I'm really happy and I will post some pictures in the next week or month of all the mod on my car because even if the car was unused I kept doing stuff on it !

Quick update as I ordered my new SuperSprint INOX Manifold. With black friday sales I got it for 404 $ US shipped to USA free of any taxes as I will come to pick it up in New Hampsire and cross the border to Canada with in myself.

    That's a pretty good deal as it is listed at 419 euros + VAT ( https://www.supersprint.com/ww-fr/ci...cement.aspx#!/ )

I'm looking forward to get it in few month and mount it on my car.

As of today my car is store for the winter until April 2019. Canadian Life lol.

    Hi !

Thank you for your feedback !

You need to remove the climatisation control panel then you will be able to open the plastic box and expose the PCB card to change the LED.

Speaking of LED, I removed my Chinese-eBay xenon after 4 years ( they are still fully functional amazing ) to put some LED with integrated fan in my headlight and that look pretty good.
