Thread: 2.0hdi into a C2

    Default 2.0hdi into a C2

Has anyone done this by any chance? Been looking for some info as I have the 1.6hdi VTS and I know that a V6 engine will fit into the C2 engine bay so by my thinking a 2.0hdi should fit too? Im thinking of a remap which (if my info is correct) will take me up near the 180-200bhp mark with good MPG and torque? Comments or suggestions? Chris

I think you will find a 160 is a remapped 136 bhp. Surely a v6 bi turbo diesel is the way forward think about it.....

You might not have space as while the 3ltr V6 fits is a N/A engine. The V6 bi turbo is going to take up a lot more space i'm guessing so it may not fit.

Wow, people have way too much money to throw at their cars! hehe! For me personally Im quote happy with the 1.6hdi I have but I wondered if the 2.0 would fit as its something I cant find any info on and I think it would be a good mix between performance and economy for an everyday car.... That and it saves buying a bigger car as I prefer my C2 to a C4 anyday! (no offence to C4 owners)

Why don't you just stick the C5 v6 HDI 2.7l same engine as fitted to some range rovers and jaguars

Well money is an issue, I wouldn't want to throw major bucks at the car as it would get to the point where I spend more than it's worth, I guess I'm just spitballing ideas really as most 2.0hdi's are bigger cars and I prefer a C2..

I think if you can change the injectors and put a hybrid turbo on the 1.6 hdi you can get 180-190 bhp..

I'm building a 2.2 hdi engine for my c2 but trying to get as close to 300hp as I can out of it. I know il need to make 3 custom engine mounts at least but I'm running a xud pump so I don't know how you would get on ecu wise

If you look in the members car bit mate my project is there for you I would say the 307 2.0 hdi gear box with c3 1.6 hdi drive shafts should be best bet as I hear the 307 box is cable selector and hydraulic clutch so that's two head aches sorted and apparently the c3 1.6 hdi driveshafts are the right length and are be gearbox end and will go straight into 1.4 hubs but double check first
