What I kind of meant is technology is constantly changing , becoming smaller faster and to keep up to the cutting edge is a never ending task

How come you've opted for RAID0 for your storage HDD?

Wouldn't it make sense to go with RAID1 if it's data you need?

Truthfully, when I set it up I thought RAID0 was the best thing to do. After going to college and actually being taught RAID, you are right to say RAID1 is probably a better option if I wanted data integrity, but for a few films etc not really worth it. All my vital data is stored on my SSD which is backed up weekly to external hdd's

Agreed, some price it cost me. Got it when it'd just been released, the thing is a beast! Almost didn't fit in my case, look:

I don't have that standard cooler anymore btw, changed it out for a Kuhler 620
Or the ram, took them out to put in 16GB hyperX, Imma take an updated photo tonight lmao
Or the PSU, or the motherboard infact haha, thats an old photo, my computer blue screened on me hahaha, realised my psu wasn't putting out enough power to power up the beast, so I had to scrap the motherboard which ended up getting fried and get a new PSU, cost me like 170 all in all, was a ball ache
