Default 221 bhp throttle bodied c2 engine

Been keeping an eye on a particular saxo project on another forum just because of how epic of a overall build it is and it's finally finished. It's a jp4 c2 engine built by the legend that is sandy brown. It's the first time I've seen one of his race engines in a road going car. Just have a read, it's insane 221bhp from a 1.6 n/a engine! And the car only weighs 800kg!! If I had a wad of cash for a track car c2 that's who I would be having build it..... Mr Haddow if your reading you should have him build yours and you dan

That is astonishing! I've seen that people use sandy brown throttle bodies but I didn't realise he made fully blown race enginines too!
221 bhp from an na 1.6 is unbelievable

Done: anthracite wheels, rear 3 windows tinted, club stickers,, white headlight bulbs, red badges, , full ashley decat twinbox system, GSR induction kit , red engine cover, coilovers
To come: Cams and Remap within a few months

Iv seen the car in the metal and it's awesome!!! Specially for a 1.6. Things is tho it's all custom and cost the best part of 15,000 or so I'm lead to believe. But yeah, awesome!

Josh's engine is simply stunning Ash he was sending me sneak peak pics and dyno shots before anyone had seen it outside of his own eyes and sandy's. We've been comparing spec and lift etc for months - both myself and Josh have been talking a LOT in the last couple years - if i had the spare cash to send it to Sandy believe me it would be there in an instand fella! But Pug1off can do just as great a job for my needs from the spec we have discussed also. Sandy Brown's engines are famed for one reason - their power and reliability/speed.

Josh is away to OZ now for a few months with his wife but when he's back im flying down to catch up with a few beers and to kick the crap out of this when he's home - first day that mine is ran in the pair of us are off to the ring to do some porsche hunting

Main one for bragging - power down the pub... its the torque figure that is stunning me Ash, smooth as a button and almost perfect all the way to 8750rpm... if i get even close to a Sandy built in terms of that then i'll be mega happy!!

unless he's using a dog box if he rag's that then he will be changing alot of boxes, our old zr was 1.6 260bhp n/a and was smashing dog boxes so needed a sequensiol so I bet that this will be similar if he rag's it on track !!

Josh has had the same box on his car for years now mate and has never had to change it as far as i know. the MA boxes can last a hell of a long time if used with some mechanical sympathy.... it won't blow a box as easy as a turbo car as its nowhere near the same torque that they put out so it should be absolutely fine to use.
