Older cars I.e. pre 2005 had an aluminium thermostat housing ,
Just change it , eBay ... it’s quite common, refit the air filter loosely ,then run the car up to temperature( till rad fan cycles in )and make sure it’s cured as the plastic housing can crack as well
Buy the L04 it should be fine , it’s just a later build of the same item as far as I am aware
There are loads on U.K. eBay, see if you can get one shipped internationally
eBay is pretty good for second hand stuff ,does South Africa have eBay ?
Change engine Ecu temp sensor
Ha, there a shock , it’s mainly because , they never replaced the c2 with a newer version , the C3 and ds3 share quite a lot of parts from the c2
Try changing the display , make sure all connection are clean and bright , you could get it on lexia or diag to find out where the network is having problems
And I am running a 1998 Corolla sr as a daily , really old school lol, I,m undecide should or shouldn’t I wrc it loldecisions decisions , if I do then the s1600 will be sold to fund it , it was...
Lol Same here , still have the C2 s1600mrep and she puts a smile on my face every time I take her out , she’s due for mot soon so I had better get her out again and get her done
I,m on Instagram ,Sm07yks , but that’s as good as it gets
Get a new lid
Glad it’s sorted , bill is in the post , as I said originally , water is an issue , MK1 as well
The replacement fixed the problem
Prone to water damage , just change it , I think it may fix it , leave one front window down , open the bonnet and let the car power down (around 2-3minutes , remove batt lead , remove cover , take a...
I would try and find a French car specialist as they will or should have lexia or diag , so they can go through the systems with the correct (not generic) diagnostic software
I would change that underbonnet fusebox first , as it may save you garage costs and may ( or may not) cure your problem , it’s def worth a try
Without diagnostics on it it , it’s all guesswork , personally I would try changing the underbonnet fusebox, ( eBay, just put the label number in so you get the same type )
Is this MK1 or mk2 car I know you said 2006 but I have seen 2006 MK1 cars , it should be mk 2 , you can also try also a bsi reset( google it )
Check the fuse box under the bonnet make sure it’s bone dry as this can also cause issues
You have to fit basically a loop isolator , get them on eBay
If this car has an aftermarket radio in , remove it and try it then as the original radio is linked to the canbus network , and fitting an aftermarket screws the system up
Hi, sorry we aren’t here like we used to be , Facebook took over
You just make them
