Well I have investigated this one before and never really got the bottom of it. I have never wanted to splash the cash and get one to know how it all goes together. I am assuming that it probably has a "tail" that goes through an existing hole where the current aerial stub goes through and tightens up, however, I can also see it being done with a strong sticky pad, so I just wanted to know if anyone knew the definative method.

I do know they are crap at providing a proper radio reception and only the official BMW aerials are the ones that actually have something inside to get good radio reception, but they also house the GPS reciever and are awfully expensive over at BMW

I guess you probably have tried this, but try it in reverse thread. Some aerials thread in reverse to confuse the theif (yeah right!!), as normally clockwise to do up and anti to undo.

You want to get you whole fist around the black base bit of the aerial and twist yer wrist.

Danny

That's a good idea about the reverse thread, some T*at of a thief would be there forever trying to take it lol :D

I must admit, when i done a poll on getting alloy wheels, the ones we bought were the ones with NO votes at all and yet everybody liked them! lol :)

The main reason being was if they are not as popular on here, then there probably won't be many around ;)

01-11-2005, 09:57 PM
Not a radio fan then James?

Our headunit needs fixing, doesn't play CD's very well, sometimes it just stops playing even if it's a brand new disc, it's always been like it but trying to get citroen to fix it is just so exhausting! Really want it sorting cause i'm having to listen to the radio quite alot of the time :(

c2ology
