Below is the proposed, and hopefully, final schedule for the Cheshire meet.

If you PM me with your email address, i can send this as a 2 page Word Document (70k in size) which also includes directions for the 2 routes we will be taking. You can then print it off for use on the day. :)

At the same time as sending your email address, it would be a good idea to add the following details to enable other members to know who's who, on the day.

For example:

Again, add this to the PM you send me, to stop anyone getting your Reg No if you prefer them not to. ;)


CHESHIRE MEET SCHEDULE.


Sunday 16th October 2005.


11.00 am : Meet at Sandbach Services (Southbound) M6 between junctions 16-17,

Gather for meets/greets and also for a toilet/drink break and possibly fuel.


11.30am : Depart in convoy from the services and head towards Stapeley Tropical Oasis.
(1st directions below)


12.00pm : Arrive at Stapeley Tropical Oasis (Entrance fees: Adults £4.45 / Students £3.95 / Child £2.60
Family £12.10 (2A + 2C)
Family £14.30 (2A + 3C)

Visit the Oasis/Gardens at leisure and possibly have lunch or a snack. (Maybe allow 2 hours for
the visit and lunch)


2.00pm : Gather back at our cars, and set off for Delamere Forest.
(2nd directions below)


2..40pm : Arrive at Delamere Forest (Need to find a Car Park) Again gather for some good photo
opportunities, a chat and any other activity people my want to do (within reason) ;-)


4.00pm : All back to their cars for the last time, maybe say our goodbye/hugs etc (hugs are optional)
and set off home. (Possibly a good time to set off, as I imagine it will be getting dark by about
6.00pm and this saves people going home in the dark) ;-)

*All the above times are approx times, due to traffic and conditions etc, but shouldn’t be more than about 5/10 minutes out.

You will obviously have to find your own route to the Services, as we are all coming from different areas, but these are the routes for the two cruises

Just got your instructions Danny. Very professional and thorough.

I'll just add a word of warning. At the crossroads of the B5152 and A556 there is a speed camera (40 or 50mph). If you're going home east along the A556 to the M6 or up to the M56 at Altrincham, there are some more. One just at the end of the 40 limit before the dual carriageway after Sandiway, and one a few miles further on (70mph). Also one hidden behind a road sign just after the M6, just after the A50/A556 crossroads at Mere, Knutsford (50mph I think). Finally, one near the BP garage as well just before the Bucklow Hill lights, I think (50mph?).

This is why originally the Cheshire meet was called a Citroen meet to allow previous now non c2 owners such as myself to attend, i was hoping to get various citroens to meet, however it is keeping the meet organised and professional without any trouble from people outside the club, which put me off the idea of inviting just anybody. Only members of this club should know about this meet and it was my idea to set this meet up, I've had tremendous help mainly from Jerrry and Danny and some help from other members who are due to attend this meet along with non attendees with ideas and suggestions , which i am really greatfull for :!:, looking forward to it :lol: :D

Don't mention the post office to me at the moment :evil: :evil: :twisted: :twisted: we suspect documents lost in post, they have cost me £38 for replacement V5 logbooks, just so i can put my number plate on retention then transfer. along with more money to cancel cheque and retention fee which costs more than a direct transfer £80 fee £125 i think, another 4 weeks the DVLA reckon before i get replacements. Tax runs out end of month,no V5 so no tax so in deep S***

Weather doesn't look too bad looking at the link Jerry posted, at best i suppose we can expect it to be a little cloudy and hopefully very little rain :!: at worst well who knows i wasn't expecting to end up in a tornado wednesday night, god am i glad i didn't drive complete gridlock flooded roads :!: people splashing us with the puddles whilst waiting to go into the concert B*******. but had to laugh we were all so excited and me chatting away to young ladies in their late teens and 20's :D :lol:

In the space of 5 mile radius we have 3 big Tescos and 5 Tesco Expresses! How stupid is that! 2 of the big stores areless than 1/2 a mile a way from each other! Were know of Tesco land.

Spent ages this afternoon with two sizes of sponge, a toothbrush and a bucket of Stardrops getting the old DG sparkling like a new pin...

I've seen the massive Tesco at the M60 Portwood roundabout (huuuge) and we lived in Wilmslow when Handforth Dean was built and opened (got loads of compo when the bypass was built too, heehee).

We stopped at the Tesco Extra in Ipswich once. Couldn't understand a word any of the staff said but it was massive. The new one in Stafford is good too.

Nearest one to us here is either Handforth Dean, Crewe (ex Safeway), or Congleton, which is pretty small.

Looks like I'm a bit of a Tesco anorak doesn't it!!

I have had my car cleaned on the outside by the hand wash guys at our local petrol station, looks new again, wont be looking clean by the time we get to Sandbach!

I (we) spent an hour and a half at Morrison's petrol station, hoovering and jet washing the car, then i'll be up at 6.30am to clean the windows!

No-one seemed to mind swapping exercise for beer.

Great day, great company, great meet! What more could you ask for guys and gals.

It was good to meet all of you that made the effort, excellent turn out. All that said thay would arrive, did! 8 cars altogether which is as good a turn out as any :)

Very pleased with the outcome and met some great people, be good to do it all again in the near future, but maybe not let Peter or Andy lead next time ;)
