Ford Mondeo Ghia x v6
2.5 v6, all the toy's, leather, front and rear heated screens, aircon, traction control, cruise control, electric seat, cd changer.. and more...
not in bad nick to be honest!.. paid £550 including it being taxed!, needs cleaning inside and out and abit tidying along the bottom sill.. but for £550 i aint gonna complain!.. everything seems to work spot on which i was quite suprised considering the age.. its done 120,000 miles.. now the pics!!..

oh and i'm amazed its not got a taped bumper, every Mondeo round here seems to have at least part of the bumper covered in gaffa tape.

tidy it up for now, aslong as its clean condition wise i'll probably just run it until i get a job or whatever
not sure about modding it to be honest, But if i feel the need to it would be lowering springs at the top of the list..

Neil will be so happy you bought a blue oval :D
THANK GOD!!!!!!!!!!!! ROVER BYE BYE AND HELLO BLUE OVAL :D:D:D
550 for one of them in that model and shape isnt bloody often that theyre so cheap like that mate! usually a 1k car in the saloon shape with the smaller boot.... cracking bargain! v6 engine will pull like a train through all the revs, watch out for sump gaskets leaking on older models and leaky rocker gaskets. service intervals arent that regular but keep on top of it... they'll take a fair whack of punishment them engines and are ripe for some tuning potential just like the BOA cousins of them ;)
body wise, usual area's on mondy's mate. rear arches, boot, if its got a sunroof sometimes round the seals, bottom of doors, sills etc, usual older car traits...
good luck with it mate :D

Thanks haha!..
Will be putting more pics up tomorrow
there is some rust starting to appear on the rear arch and round the petrol flap which i plan to get sorted in the future and a little along the sill (just suraface) will probably just treat that and paint them black on both sides over this next week, but other than that its fine.
otherwise the car seem's pretty solid, just needs a few daft little jobs doing!

er in a word ... no! must have rattled your car a bit. i'd forget bout the wheel for now and check the tracking etc on car.
nice looking car you got for that price! v clean!
Hitty86
24-03-2010, 07:28 PM
just abit, think the tyre was down abit too as the rear one survived and my dads car which has 18" alloys on it followed me over it lol,
Tracking got checked today was slightly out anyways as there is slight wear on the inside of the tyre on the passenger side

main thing is you havent damaged your steering! could of been much worse!
i hit a pothole in my old c2 so hard it jammed my cd in the cd player!

can it push 75mph now? :p
Hitty86
29-03-2010, 10:31 PM
lmao!! yes now and then... i found out its the imrc or something its gets hot.. needs to be relocated or heat wrapped.... tomorrows job :)
sorry but whoever things that wheel isnt repairable is clueless about alloys..
ive seen alloys split in 3 places repaired mate, its sometimes expensive but thats an easy fix mate! not sure about round your way but a place called MAGMA do them up here and they come back as good as new!
Hitty86

i can now go fast again! hehe.. Cable tie's FTW! temp repair of course but it was the IMRC (Inlet Manifold Runner Control) getting way to hot under heavy load.. common fault so it will be battery out at the weekend and relocate it properly, im just glad i found out what it was!
