Just wandering how often or not you have the meets. Is there one planned in the near future or is it a long winded process to have people turn up? Cheers, Danny.

Usually we meet up at services on a Sunday, every few months. Some people meet up to cruise locally.
The camping weekend was the first (of many hopefully).

Okay, thanks for that. Guess it would be nice to actually take part in whatever you all get upto! ;)
Not many months left for camping before winter now! Hopefully get to meet a few of you before winter sets in too much.............. as I guess camping is a no-no for new Year???
:) Just kidding.

Hopefully. Depends whether E's party falls on the day (10th) or we do something on the Sunday instead.
More details required though. Where, what time etc. Who's organising this? Eh? Maps? Itineraries? Attendance lists? Deposits? Rules? ;) LOL

10-08-2005, 06:20 AM
We need another Southern Meet. This also means more than 2 C2's.
Danny
10-08-2005, 11:34 AM
Eastbourne is a pretty long way from here! :)
c2ology
10-08-2005, 04:41 PM
Well i didn't mean meet in Eastbourne, but somewhere along the M25's area or something. But as I said before every meet to me is like a Northern meet.
Danny
10-08-2005, 05:33 PM
LOL. I understand, a long way for you, even to a Midlands meet! :(
Perhaps (not neccessarily for this meet, as I think you def want a Mids one,) but someone oughta do a poll of various places central to all members to see if we can get some huge no's of attendee's...
Just Imagine, we could do one o' those "Art Attack" aerial shots of c2's making up a huge citroen badge, or if we're really optimistic' a huge c2!!
:o Mark :o

:o Mark :o
Tried that. Surprise surprise there was no overall agreement on where to meet. So someone suggests somewhere, and some people turn up. Someone suggests somewhere else, and different people turn up.
Next year's camp meet will be for longer so more people might make the effort for say 2 or 3 nights.
Danny
10-08-2005, 11:51 PM
2 or 3 nights sounds good to me :D
be nice if we could get into double figures too!

the only reason i joined was to look a some pics of a blue and black c2 as i couldn't decide which colour to get.......just loved it too much lol
Can't get rid of me now!
Danny
11-08-2005, 12:54 AM
and you still chose the wrong colour kay ;)
kay-vts
11-08-2005, 12:59 AM
Nah I didn't, as much as I moan about it cause it's so damn hard to keep clean I would choose the same colour again :D
It makes the car look sexy in black :D
Danny
11-08-2005, 01:03 AM
LOL @ sexy...............the blue is the same, very hard to make it look clean...........more watermarks than barclays bank! :)
but the blue hides the dirt better, mine didn't look overly dirty at the camping but it was rather
jaimz 8)
c2ology
11-08-2005, 04:20 AM
I agree blue don't show much dirt.
Danny
11-08-2005, 11:52 AM
You must have a different shade of blue then ;)
Bl**dy watermarks...........guess it helps if you try to dry it a little! :)
so more people might make the effort
Awww, was that a dig at me? I did try but with cars, mortgages, jobs, and problems at home I didn't even have 15mins to pop on the net to see how it was going...
 Mark
It makes the car look sexy in black :D
Agree totally, wanted black myself, but first brand new motor I've ever bought, so wanted to look as clean and shiny as possible for the longest amount of time.
So I went for the Arctic Steel Mettalic, looks well nice when dirty, damn fine when clean, and If waxed, corrr blimey, lol.

I think the blue is the nicest when polished, it shines vibrantly when the sun hits it! I do like th black aswell though, as kay said, it does make the car look 'sexy'.
So i'm guessing there is a meet in planning for the 11th september, i will come along if not too far away from home, i'm just starting my holiday from work then, YIPPEE!!!
squashedrabbit
11-08-2005, 08:46 PM
silver is the color to have if ur lazy wen it comes to cleaning as it always looks clean, even wen dirty. i hate cleaning my black mota but it does look gorgeous when clean and sparkiling.
anyway, gone slightly off topic so......
back to the next meet.....
11th september but where????
Danny
16-08-2005, 05:47 PM
Anyone chiefs of the club sorted a date at all for a midlands meet or meet in general?
How bwt meeting up at Frankley Services?
Might be able to pop to the Merry Hill from there on the Evening to show up all the wanna be bad boy racers in their clapped out efforts with a nice little convoy of gorgeous C2's.
There's a Maccy's, KFC, and loadsa parkin' lol.
 Mark
Danny
16-08-2005, 06:01 PM
Well i don't mind that (the missus drives :)) but doubt will show anyone up in a furio :(
Danny
16-08-2005, 06:03 PM
Would need at least half a dozen to make it worth while............. only so i don't stand out as the oldie (30) ;)
Well you an me make 2, I'm sure a few other peeps have mentioned to me about mini-cruises in the Mids.
There's only me and 2 other C2's that ever drive round the Mezza', and never at the same time. It'd just be a pretty good photo op, and maybe some video footage with me new megapixel vid phone (if I can blag the missus-to-be, to get out the car and video.)
Furio's have a little bodykit don't they??
Only thing that makes mine stand out is the spots and body coloured plastics, oh, and the confusing diesel roar, lol.
:D Mark :D
Danny
16-08-2005, 06:29 PM
Yes they have bodykit, exactly like vtr but without the engine and alloys (at the minute) looks fine though for standard i guess. :)

Myself, rabbit and stealth are all local if you do meet
Danny
17-08-2005, 02:38 AM
Maybe someone with a bit more knowledge, could arrange something around the bank holiday weekend, in a couple of week's time???
Just an idea but as a complete novice i haven't a clue.

merry hill and cannock are a big no no for meeting on a night. boyracers have ruined these locations now and the police are normally out in force in these areas! :(
Danny
17-08-2005, 03:28 AM
Hmm, that's a shame. Always some tw*ts who spoil it for the genuine owners, who have no intention of boy racing! ;)
c2ology
17-08-2005, 05:28 AM
Jaimz you wanna arrange a meet on Bank Holiday Monday? sure no one will be working. If we do another M25 meet somewhere. Just an idea but i will see what others will say.
TezGT_OU04
17-08-2005, 05:37 AM
I'll be working that day :(
Is the 11th not being thought about anymore?? maybe we could arrange a M25 meet for then.....
c2ology
17-08-2005, 06:37 AM
It's very hard to arrange a day that everyone is free.
We will just have to do a northern & southern meet, just to be fair.
Danny
17-08-2005, 11:46 AM
Good idea about south and north meet,s but as for bank holiday..............traffic would be chaos! :(

I smell fear!, If we're only cruisin' then there's no worry, it used to be rammed with boy racers, but proppa ones, with cossies of all shapes n sizes, the odd skyline, nsx, mk1 n 2 eccy's.
Now there's still a few genuine modders, but mainly work in progress, I spose I see whatt you mean it's been spoilt to an extent but, the copshop' never had nowt to do with it, there's to many peeps not actually breakin' the law, so they themselves just have the odd cruise through with their new Civic, and occasionally the Volvo. They take a risk when pullin' someone, cus' the hard core "leave my space" cruisers try an run em down if they get out!! (well it looks like that anyway, doubt they'd actually run em over, but it seems to keep em in their pimp mobiles, lol.)

taken from a site i regularly use:
last nite i rang lizzy and told her not to bring any of you to cannock as the police crack down is gettin rediculous.
Last nite when me n some others got to cannock, went round the island and on to the retail park (where maccies is). Only car's were bein diverted to the dfs car park by police, to have MOT tests carried out on the car park by the police and the VOSA team(in their big white van), and it was by their standards and it was compulsary.
After me, hannah (hot lips) and some others questioned their motives, they said not 1 car had passed!!!! every car failed for something!!! They said that somethin is goin to b done to stop cruisers and modded cars hanging around on the premises as theres to many complaints made by folks.
1 incident last week involved a number of lads streakin passed the window of Mcdonalds, and the police described this to b anti-social, and the type of behavior that is spoilin everythin for everyone.
another incident was to do with stickers. There police said cruise sites were puttin stickers on cars belonging to members of the public, and people were generally intimadated by cruisers.
so you have been warned, if you go to longford island at cannock b expecting a beastin, and police said its a national crack down, so if you start misbehaving, b expecting this to come to you.
I kno krooztelford are good at their meets and have an understandin wiv police, but remember someone else could spoil it for you.

i still reckon maybe a meet in sutton park or summat during the day and then decide on summat for the evening on the day depending on the numbers that turn up
Danny
17-08-2005, 02:04 PM
Sutton park seems pretty central and i'm sure most know where it is, but like you said..............could do with a decent number to make it worth while :)
God damn (that cannock one) !!! 8O
Never thought they'd have to do that extreme, hope they don't try it down the mezza, there all maniacs, and would rather total part o there car in a high speed chase, than have their motor declared unroadworthy, would be a v big danger to public, perhaps thats why they aint done it yet?
In my opinion, they aughta stop wastin' their time and money (the police,) on trying to stop cruisin', and build/allocate areas for it, for a few quid a car, that way its at least its controlled or regulated.

right mark. come off m6 at jct 6 spaghetti junction and head towards erdington. its a pretty straight run. u pass thru erdington and thru a set of lightsa at wylde green with a maccies and petrol station on the corners. carry straight on. this is now the birmingham road which u see on the map above. follow it up and the road bends. u will c the odeon. follow the road down to a small island. u r now on the ring road u c on the map. u then turn down park road, under the bridge to a little island, straight over that and the park is directly in front of u
alternative location could be bassetts pole on the A38?!
