As I am not the main driver of my c2 I was wondering if I decided to declare a mod would the insurance company claim I was infact the main driver? (im 17)
And before you ask I dont drive the car as much as the main driver so its all legit! :D
So why mod a car that effectively isn't yours? Insurance companies do check, but only the policy holder can change the policy, i.e declare items.

Even though it isnt mine I'd like to make it look nicer for the times I do drive it and eventually I hope the car will be mine.
I wont modify it just incase no point of risking it.

Lol that ol' chest nut, my mums the main driver of a sporty C2 thats modded but drives it more than me!
We all know most folk do this anyway, and by the way they do check if your in a crash as to how many times its driven by each person.
I'd know cause Aviva (the worst insruance group who have the worst english speaking staff I've dealt with to date), were constantly on the phone to my mum even though it was me who was in the crash, and she had to get evidence that she drove the car which was easy enough since she does drive the car if its in the drive infront of her own lol.
But to answer your question as far as I know its the main driver and car owner that has to declare mods.

Oh and if you do mod it and whether you tell your insurance or not they will more than likely ask for you get reciepts for when the work was done, though I got asked for this cause after calling my insurance each time the retard on the phone obviously never even took on board what I was saying half the time so I had to send reciepts in, which luckily I kept :)

if youre completely honest theres no problem, if your mom/dad are the main driver and the mods are declared theres no problem, the insurance company might get a bit suspicious but if youre not the main driver then theres no problem is there?

They still manage to cock it up, just another way to wriggle out of paying up or doing any paper work.
