thinking about doing a 300mile round trip in the c2,stripping the back seats out, and picking up an astra gsi engine for a mate, will it be safe in the back? it weighs roughly 175 kg

according to the brochure for a 1.1 the maximum weight that can be carried is 1336kg, all the other models are higher so yes you should be absolutely fine

on standard 1.1 suspension, your brave mate! it'll do it but be prepared for a mega lowered car at the rear, better make sure youve drained all fluids out too from the engine or your car will get VERY messy

should be fine, i done almost 600 miles in my 1.1 with 8 wheels, another engine, a passenger and loads of other bits, youll have no problems at all.

1 thing i did do tho i put a cargo net (£5 from ebay) over the top of everythin and the net had hooks on that i fixed to the bit under the boot lid. just incase i did have a crash then we would be less killed by everything falling forwards. thankfully i didnt crash and wasnt killed :)

i only mentioned 1.1s as there the lowest weight capability so for peoples future reference its easier to see what they can carry
