3. Re-tests will be undertaken free of charge, providing that the vehicle does not leave the premises until the rectification work needed has been completed and a certificate issued
sure you want your MOT done at citroen lol?
the reason that they will do this is because they will make money on failing ANYTHING with this, most dealerships may use it to draw in customers of course but some of them will come down hard and get the repairs on the vehicle.

Well I went to my local dealers website, clicked on the free MOT offer and got:
Sorry, but the page you requested could not be found.
best to give them a phone mate they should do it via that way if you explain about that.

As its Citroen they will find any tiny squeak or rattle costing you about 50 quid a shot, their a joke, best using smaller garages, I use my uncles mate asmy unlce works for Dingbro and gets all the parts in cheap and then get the job done for a good cost (and hes a professional anyway and never had any re-curring faults).

Wont take them long to find one on a C2 then lol

I don't mind them doing a free test even if they fails, at least then I know what not to look at myself. I'll bool it in for my son early March, that will give a couple of weeks to see if anything is really wrong with it.

the actual MOT test is never the expensive part, it's the repairs that need done and Citroen like to charge.... over the odds shall we say.

Are you not able to take your car there for a test. Hope it passes.
If it doesn't just leave and get things fixed yourself.
Then of course you would have to pay for a retest or a test elsewhere but at least you wouldn't have to pay Citroen repair prices.
But if it passes at citroen then perfect :D

Well I sent a booking to my local Citroen dealer and asked then to email me the free voucher. Didn't get a reply. So I phoned them yesterday and they were very busy so waited for call back. Got the call back, they know nothing of the offer, so I directed them to the Citroen website and then to the offer. They are going to call Citroen today and cal me back.
Await phone call ...........

Well it was free, but it did fail on two side repeaters giving out white light ( looks orange to me ), they wanted near on £50 to replace them and justiifed it by saying they were hard to get to. Got two bulbs from Halfords for £3.99 and took less that a minute a side for me to do without removing inner wheel arch trim.
Good news it's booked in this afternoon to retest the indicators and produce an MOT certificate. - hopefully still free as the failure states.
A couple of advisories on brakes, so that's next for me to have a look at.

Passed and FREE :)
Offer ends 31st March 2010, so if your MOT is due soon worth a shot.
