Do i keep the c2 or change?

I have about 11 months left on the car loan for the c2, but with the number of problems ive had with it in 26 months (from new) so far im fed up of it! it doesnt inspire me to think it wont be back into the dealer before the end of the year. It has 7000 miles left on warranty too. The settlement on the loan is £3300, and a quick we buy any car valuation is roughly the same.

What do you guys think i should do? clear the decks or hold out? by the time the loans paid at the end of the year the c2 would have 73000ish miles on it. think id be struggling to reach £2500 for it with that kinda mileage for a 1.4

the other ideas that have crossed my mind are -

Purchase a diesel 1.5dci clio 58 plate for £6000
Purchase a petrol 1.6 twingo 133 - few around £10000

I am driving about 500 miles a week just now. Whats your opinions?

See if you can get some interest privately mate, always worth seeing if you can get some more dolla for it.

Sell it, which ever way you like (trade in/private/webuyanycar). Clear the payment and start fresh with something else. With the miles you're doing people will automatically say diesel, I'd recommend a diesel corsa from past experience or maybe a diesel zetec-s, both very good cars for the money.

Which ever decision you make you're always going to have the one in the back of your mind saying should I have done it differently. Choose the one which will leave you generally better off with less overall hassle.

You'll make, what.. £500-£600 on all those parts too if you sold them seperately so theres some extra cash.

Doing 500 miles+ a week I would have to suggest a diesel...even though it goes against my beliefs. I currently do 250-300 miles a week and have to fill a full tank every 6 days. I would love to have the diesel to save money but then I love having the fun factor of a VTS engine in the code. I think that's what it comes down to. Money (Economy) or possible fun factor and finding a compromise

Well take the VTS HDI a remap can take it upto 150bhp with just an air filter & you'd get better fuel effiency?
if your not really into engine modifications & just like a nippy/good looking car nothing wrong with a diesel & you would save a ton aswell.

get the Clio, but ditch the diesel part and go all out for a RS model :P

i didn't mean get the vts hdi, i just mean the potential of the diesels is quite good to what they used to be & if your doing alot of milage it would be a practical choice too meaning you can maybe spend a bit more on the car itself!

What about a Fabia vRS?.. cheap to run, Insure etc and built quality is miles better than the C2.. ours is on 110,000 miles and still no real problems with it! :)

out of those choices, the Twingo any day, the diesel clio will just be boring as sin. You're young, live life on the edge, have some fun and dont buy a boring diesel lol.

Then again with that high mileage on it you probably won't get an awful lot anyway and if you just had to make repairs on it, the chances (here's hoping) are it wont need any work for a while. So probs hang on to the C2 for now.

ive pretty much decided to go for an RS twingo 133. With cup chassis and 17s. but im stuck on colour... was thinking black but it looks like it loses a lot of curves on the front end in black... now im thinking white with black detailing pack. what do you think?

Fiesta Zetec-S TDCi would be a great choice. Fantastic economy, £35 road tax, 110+ bhp (after a remap).
