Hey guys just purchase my new car today.

I have bought a 1.9 TD Fiat punto.

I had a test drive and fallen in love with it :)

i presume TD = Turbo Diesel

You've just passed your test & Crashed and your gonna be driving a 1.9 Turbo Diesel?
How much is the insurance company raping you on that :S ?

Yea its a TD. I have it on the insurance for the C2 all i changed was the cars so i have it for £1600 fully comp. Im paying £2000 for it which isn't bad i don't want to spend too much after the incident. It has the abarth alloys on it too :).

You've changed the car to a 1.9 TD and your £1600 fully comp :S wouldn't it be better to go third party fire & theft if the cars only worth £2000 your paying nearly the value of the car in insurance :S if theres no diffrence i can understand but that seems cheap to me bearing the facts

- had 1 accident
- had 1 claim
- been passed about a month
& have a big engined car.

i wish you all the best with the car but myself and everybody i know has had problems with FIATs and that includes the mrs who has a 06 grande punto & the other night she had ABS Failure/Airbag failure & none of her lights on her dashboard would work mph needles etc, next day it works fine :S but ive known that exact model of punto to be common for gasket & clutch failure.

insurance wont count the accident until the end of the current years insurance, thats when he will notice the price increase ;)
good luck with the fiat, i had one with the same engine and didnt think much of it but hope you enjoy it
