Midlands First 2010 Meet Ideas

I would like to start this year with a good C2Club meet for the midlands, and then continue these on throughout the year.
But I need your help.
I need some ideas from you all to make this a good meet, and the main one being location, as this seems to be the biggest issue for most people, and if we can find an agreed location, everyones happy.

So first of all, can we please decide a location or place to go, and if people tell me whos interested, we can get a central location for everyone to aim for.

Please have your input, and show some support.

im from Nottinghamshire, Birmingham is central but i have no idea on things to do etc there.

Not too far from Manchester so I'd be interested, might be able to get a couple of mates to come along too.

Pete from GSR said to me last night that he wanted to go to a mid-lands meet, so this may be his chance. He did say that he wanted to see a C2 200 meet though, put the word out and about and get 200 cars? - up for that Cozzi?

Star City & Motor Museum are the only things that come to mind....I think we've established no one wants to go to the Safari Park anymore.......

We have been to star city a few times and they wasnt that bad tbf, just need to move on after abit really as there isnt as much as u think to do there.
And yes the safari park was a great event lol.

I think the selfriges meet in birmingham was a good idea but that never went ahead, as i said in that one, a good place for some shots, and becuase we are in the centre of birmingham there is loads of stuff, shopppin, cinema, food, drink, strip clubs etc etc lol

Why does it always have to be birmingham? No offense to the place :p . Plenty of other locations - Nottingham, Leicester, Derby, Stoke etc. As for precise locations, i'll need a think :p . I know Derby well, a few amenties nearby, Markeaton park can be ok for pictures. Could always go to Quasar afterwards if we fancy shooting each other...

it isnt if you get BOGOF! and i agree. it doesnt have to be birmingham. and i would recommend megazone over quasar :P

i know a super car park for pictures, however it is in the middle of the countryside, and there are bound to be a shed load of pensioners watching birds. but it would be spiffing to have all the car round the edge as its round!

it does very true. but i am super skeptical about that car park... my brother had a brick put through his windscreen and all his audio entertainment lark stolen. so park on the ONE SIDE that has cctv :P

oh and as for good picture locations there is loads actually in Derbyshire, Ladybower/Derwent reservoir is fantastic

its got shopping, cinema, food..

if we drove 5/10mins out of brum, we could probably get to a placefull of photo oppurtunities..

Went to Rutland water at the weekend, bit further away but thats a nice place for photos :) . Oh and I even seen D5N VTS car there by accident ;).

oops forgot about this.... no tying up was necessary Gav :p . It was a great place for pictures and was just generally a nice place to visit. There's tons of little cafes dotted all around the place and hugeee car parks too which is a bonus and its a fairly central location.
