What would you like from C2 Club in 2010?

Thought id put this up to get feedback from you guys to see what we are doing right or how you think we could improve.

This could be anything from ideas for forum layout, theme, new sections, meets, changes in rules (or additions) etc etc.

Please keep it constructive and be honest, we dont take offence. If you would prefer to pm your comments feel free to contact myself, Sag or Greg.

I dont want to see posts asking for money or anything daft.
You never know your idea could be used in the future!

Meets, please.

I know members can organise meets, but with staff/club backing it works better.

Maybe 1 or 2 big meets a year, one up North, one down South?

We could hit a show big aswell and get a good turn out.

I love the forum cms itself, but maybe a new layout with some new graphics to bring the club into the new year. We have some awesome photoshop users & photographers.

why not run some sort of competition for a new logo etc?

hide rubbish bin to anybody who is not an admin - seems pointless to see it if we cannot access it.

& More meets as a club (stands etc)

I agree with a new forum layout and design update, but I believe this is already being looked into.

I agree with meet, cruises, shows being more popular and attended more, but i think once organised well, its up to members to show dedication and turn up, but Im sure between the staff and admin, shows will be alot more common in the current new year.

Definately more meets.. a bit closer to people.. e.g cardiff is sort of central to most.. as is bifmingham.. then a northern meet.. and so on.. otherwise i think its good club :D

the meets should pick up when the weather gets better but its not down to the club to get members to go, its upto the individual person. 2010 is jsut started so all the car shows will be coming up for us to get stands on.

Meets are definitely something we're looking at bringing back to what they once were.

We had some good ones last year and we can only build on that.

the ones that i think of are the cituning meet and the WMSP meet, i didnt go to any of them cos i didnt have a C2 then but i would certainly go to them if the turn out was like it was before

i have got us a stand for scottish modified car show so everyone is welcom but oviously there will be a limited amount on how much of us will fit on the stand lol

regards to club stands in scotland... do we have banners club stand flags etc up here? if not then how about getting them up here for us to use on stands to promote and show the club off a bit? every other club at SMCS had them near enough, and it helps people see who we are??

JUst an idea, and its on trying to get more members.. How about producing some flyers so that when someone buys a citroen c2 from there local citroen dealer they recieve one to advertise joining the club etc.. mayb put a discount joining fee or something?

we did have 2. one was taken by a member who hasn't owned up to having it and i have the other for safe keeping and i bring it along to anything i attend. not sure if we have funds at the minute for new ones but we will see. It may be the case that the LAM's are given them to look after in the future.


dt_hayward- That is a good idea, we did have members offering to make flyers but not sure what ever happened to it

i would have thought that it would have been up to the LAM's to have them anyways as theyre supposed to be at the big meets for this as their duties of organising? can understand about the thievery though, pretty low and heartless to do so!

p.s. we did some flyers for c2oc.net and it helped draw in a few people for us.... better at car shows etc but overall i think the club stickers on windows and the overall coverage in PFC (when they get things right) seems to get the c2 owners clubs decent enough coverage overall.

i know it would be great i think we should just set dates for meets during the year 2 times this year say 1 in march and 1 in august?

lets see what den says and if he could justy give us dates so we can plan in advance sooo everyone can come

well i dont mind travelling distances. i live out the way so i got to travel where ever i go etc. pretty boring but travelling is sometimes the best bit.
dont mind where ever as long as there are set dates. last thing you want is mixed info. lol

I really do think banners and flyers are needed.

The meets and shows this year will only be as good as the people who make effort to go to them, sometimes circumstances prevent you from going but 9 times outa 10 its just down right lazyness, theres atleast 50+ active members on here, if we could get those 50+ at 2 or 3 big shows this year, probably SMC FCS and TRAX, then other meets aswell more local, then we would be onto a massive winner.
