don't need to go anywhere at the moment for rolling road, i tried to park the car on the drive, i wasn't going anywhere speedo said 84mph.

ok for those genuinely interested in a rolling road day heres the facts after speaking to Simon Smail, owner of Sitech Racing today.

Price per head is £25, standard rate and is by far the cheapest in scotland, closest i could find was £35 a head for the amount interested before hand.

We can run on any day of the week or weekend, however i suggested that a sunday morning/afternoon would be best for members as most of them will be off that day and its the most common day people have off or want to go out with their motors.

Dyno is 2WD dyno that reads from the wheels, datasheet printouts will be available on the day and advice on your setup of your car and how to improve it.

Tea & Coffee facilities will be on hand and if anyone fancies a BBQ then we have one of them on offer as well for members if they want to have a burger etc.

Recommended date for us (giving a month for people to get cars ready and payments made) is SUNDAY 7 MARCH.

to confirm your dyno run a £10 deposit will be required so i can secure places for Simon, a maximum of 25 cars are allowed we can maybe stretch this but i need to know amounts by monday roughly to let Simon know when i pop up to see him about this.

SIMON WILL ACCEPT PAYMENT ON THE DAY HOWEVER TO 100% GUARANTEE YOUR SPOT WE CAN TAKE A DEPOSIT TO GIVE SIMON ON THE DAY.

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING DETAILS!!!!

Before being allowed on the rolling road your car MUST have good tyres, brakes and plenty of fuel, it will be running flat out and pushed to the limiter a fair few times.... if you turn up and your car is deemed not fit for the rolling road session, your car will NOT run on the dyno for the safety of your car and the dyno equipment.

If you have another car that isnt a c2 and want a dyno readout and advice on your cars setup, all other makes and models are invited to join us, but we're hoping for as many c2's and if enough decide to come up then we might get a PFC feature for the club.

ok spoke to Nick @ Sitech today as Simon is down at Autosport sorting out some trade details, officially booked the RR day in so we're all go;)

Sunday 7 March

All cars involved in the rolling road day are required to pay the £25 on the day, no deposit is required however if you are 100% running then YOU MUST LET ME KNOW A MINIMUM OF 7 DAYS BEFORE THE EVENT, anyone else after that is on a first come first served basis and on Simons acceptance, however he requires to know details 7 days before the event to organise things.

If anyone requires any information regarding this, please pm me. I will be visiting Sitech at the beginning of February so can supply pictures and details of their workshop and RR facilities then.

A few members have asked myself and Daryl (wickedredc2) about re-mapping.... i have spoken to Nick & Simon about this and they can advise and talk to each person on their tailored requirements on the day about this.

will update with more info when i can, for now if anyone does require any more info please feel free to add my msn - rs_cabby@live.co.uk as im on there more due to work commitments, or pm wickedredc2 me for my mobile number for more details.

its a very good price mate, simon prefers not to make huge profits but to understand peoples needs and in such a climatic time with money worries, he understands even us modders and tuning junkies are a bit tight at times just now, his price will be PERMANENT and will not be changing from this for the forseeable future....

£25 to make sure your car is performing how it should is a small price to pay considering most garages are double this for an hours labour these days for a repair!

sorry for not being on to update this had an accident in the family so been taking care of things.

spoke to Simon tonight and he is happy to have a magazine feature, i will be in contact with PFC tomorrow morning to confirm the details with them and if they are happy we will have a magazine featured RR day for the joint club RR day.

Saxperiance may also be attending after discussion with their LAM tomorrow also, so we may have a C2 vs Saxo grudge match to follow the day, even more interesting!;)

i'll be up at simons either this weekend or next depending on when they arent busy with the recent projects to take some pictures of the place and get an exact list of their facilities.

numbers have been updated to Simon Today, as due to the number of members that are attending from 2 sites now, and to guarantee places for those already interested, both myself and the LAM on Saxperiance have agreed that to make sure people will be turning up that a £10 deposit MUST be paid prior to the event (minimum of 7 days to the event will be required so that if paid via paypal it can be collected from the bank in time to give to Simon)

OK further to talking to site admin, the following must be done to confirm your place at the event.

Saxperiance LAM will cover their side of things, so myself and daryl will cover the payments for the c2's.

Anyoe who hasnt confirmed their place before the day is welcome to turn up, however you may not get to run if you have not paid your deposit unless the staff at Sitech decide that you can do so, due to the amount of cars that are showing interest now.

thats adrian brannans, hes got too many cars! i just painted his saph cossie for him, very nice alfa that.

if you look at the pictures, the first picture is the rolling road itself, next picture is a customers ORIGINAL X-pack MK2 rs2000, very very rare from the factory and even rarer to be still in existance, full rebuild by the lads is ongoing and this will be seen on the day as well.

below that is of course, the alfa v6, and Sitechs new demo car, 2.0ZVH Turbo Escort RS1600i, which will be up to spec to run in Time Attack at some point this year, a very high spec build is ongoing on this as we speak to replace the old demo car which was destroyed at knockhill in a massive crash.

picture below is of the engine bay at present on the car, for those not in the know that block is a WRC block (CGI casting) as used in the old Focus MK1 WRC cars, stupidly strong, running Audi RS4 Pistons and custom rods for the car.

below this, on the ramps is something that greg would like to drive, and indeed most of us i reckon..... see pic below that for more info!

US imported Chevvy van, with a Sitech racing converted BMW V10 engine (as customers request was to harass scoobies up the m8 on rush hour!)

as stated so many times, theyre not ford specialists, theyre engineers who like EVERY background, and are looking forward to seeing how the french tuning scene is these days and hopefully get involved with some of our members cars.

he said french car magazine is coming, and there gonna do a show down between the c2 and its younger brother - the saxo. to see which is better etc.

edith to confirm with everyone, i spoke directly to PFC's main editor - Ian Cushway... and theyre due in france at the time for a renault thing, so they wont be in attendance, however we can take pictures and do a writeup of the day, fire it all over to them and get a feature in the magazine for it not a problem.

Ian has 100% confirmed that it WILL happen, however i dont know where the saxp lot are hearing that PFC will be in attendance as i notified their LAM of this weeks ago that it would be up to us to do the writeup etc.

Saxperiance are going to be covering so far 13-14 cars, with 7 c2's on the rollers, and so far over 20 cars turning up not on the rolling road... so it should be a busy day regardless of things!

just as a reminder to anyone who is attending, these are the reasons why when you turn up, there will be a full safety briefing and a safety area where you will be standing for the dyno sessions.... just as a friendly reminder how something so insignificant to most, can turn bad when it does go wrong.

No it's in perthshire - when we went up it took about an hour 15 mins from Cowdenbeath goin up the motorway and veering off onto the A9 - it's a nice drive up there but chops and changes between 60mph and 70mph without warning as it's a mixture of dual and single carriageways

wickedredc2 - are you asking about the evoloution superchip? the others available are all in the £1000 region which is a waste in my opinion on a c2, but if it is the evo chip might be worth asking about a group buy offer, there would be me and you and if a few of the saxo lads are gettin it done then there would be a few more so may get a good deal goin

anyone who is looking to have their car re-mapped should speak to simon on the day, each person will have different requirements for each car and budget etc. im sending my escort turbo up to simon to have a Sitech Racing engine built for the car, and in complete confidence of previous work i know for the very good price im getting, the car will be pushing near on 270bhp before i know it thanks to engine building and simons expert mapping knowledge.

Your more than welcome to join us buddy, u'll be kept in amongst the rest of the convoy though -unfortunatly I get responsibility of taking the most stressful position in the convoy to make sure that if anyone breaks down or somehow manages to fall behind, then they have a guardian angel to rely on!

Eden I realise it's a bit early but the reason for that is we're not going to can it on the journey up. We'll be comfortably under the limit all the way up, we've got a good few VTS's going and we simply want to make it up there, the RR runs & back down again, without a massive fuel cost!

We'll see you up there any even if you don't join the convoy!

Just to inform anyone who's going up via the M90 and hasn't been that far up before - the road is national speed limit once you branch off from M90, but it goes regularly from dual to single carriageway without warning, and there is a couple of static cameras on the way up - there's also one bit which was classed as a 50mph on my tomtom but I don't know if that was temporary or permanent as I didn't see a change of speed limit sign.....

bit of a poor turnout for us tbh, 3 cars first thing in the morning then scotty boosted the numbers up in the afternoon.

credit going to daryl for getting highest BHP figure of the day at 131bhp and 92lb/Ft torque figure. could be a bit more powerful by taking the god awful GSR kit off and putting a decent one on and a couple other things, but all in all, top show on power mate.

cheers man, i was gutted it got so dirty on the drive up lol the roads were fine up until just outside perth, then they got wet and the spray from other cars ruined the previous days work lol but yeah more meets between the two clubs would be good, no doubt we will see you at some of the main shows aswell :)

i wont be, a few others will though im sure im away to kavos for two weeks and unfortunately i'm away when its on lol i think the only show i will make this year due to other commitments is smcs, i went to trax last year and it was well worth the trip down so i advise you to go if you can :)

can't make trax - meant to be going on holiday the day after with folks so don't think they would be amused lol - as for SMC think the fiesta van will be out for that instead of the C2, can't be unfair to Neil that way
