View Full Version : flushing radiator?

bought some antifreeze coolant stuff yesterday from halfords as id noticed it was a lilltle bit low.whilst reading the instructions it said i should flush the system first.
How would i do this? Any guides?

I had complications for this myself, what i did was, on the top left of the car radiator, there is a really thin pipe connected, Press the clips on the end and give it a pull and the liquid spills out, just get a bucket or something to take all the old fluid.

when the fluid has fully drained, just attach the small pipe back onto the rad and fill the antifreeze in and happy days! :)

i thought i would reply incase anyone else has problems doing this.

if you are sure about what are you putting in your engine (the best quality) you should drain from the bottom of the system, it is done under the engine where hoses conects to the water pump, there is a plug secure by an seagers clip
