Right i got a split in my weld (yes i suck) do i repair it as it is or take out the first baffle and make it straight through??? Bearing in mind that the back box is only 30cm long and straight through. I've had it without the baffle before and it's well loud and spits and bangs like a monster. Great fun but not good for consuption, or ears, and i'm 24 now should i be more responsable lol???????????????????????????????????????????
my zorst as it is

problem is mate if you do remove it ull loose power. Mainly because of back pressure. it will sound abit of a beast Wat about going for a more beastly back box?? mine needs quieten down pops and gurgles all over the place. is fun though
in that case i would keep it the same, get it repaired and enjoy it still without it being too loud.

Well i've already modified the front baffle as well as the back box. Front baffle's off a Golf GTI , If i'm going to loose power removing it then i might keep it on?

lol, good to hear it guys. I'll get it up on ramp and take a look. I'll see how quick the repair/alteration is going to be and decide from there.
option 3 go to a scrappy and get a new mid section ;)

Totally agree with Craig (from an experienced mechanics point of view,) have you ever heard a Ferrari splutter of bang? (for those who havn't heard one, it actually sounds like a cat purring one end of the revs and like a thousand cats being trod on the other, lol, but never a bang or splutter.)
My old Orion's exhaust fell off when I first started driving, that sounded like what most these bad boy racer heaps sounds like, and I tell you now, it didn't go anywhere any faster, it's all in your heads! (Unless you get a proper rolling road test, you can never tell a mods impact acurately.)
Regards
