One word... TORQUUUUUEEEE! :) haha
Picked up the car on Saturday and I absolutely love it! Can't get enough of driving it and the power and torque is amazing, especially coming from a 1.4 petrol C2! haha, the way it goes from 20 - 80 and the way it eats hills is amazing and also after driving it hard all wekend over the Valleys mountain roads (which is aweosme fun) I still got an average of 47 MPG and on the way to work I got almost 65 MPG, 450 miles on £40! :)
Here's some pics of it, its in almost perfect condition inside and out apart from one little chip which I'll be looking to fill in soon, so any tips on how to would be great! :)

As you can see it has an actuall boot, which is nice coming from a C2 lol!

And a very full engine bay which I think I'll be spraying the covers orange! :)
Any ideas styling wise would be apprecaited, I'm thinking of a black roof and black wheels and possibly a bigger rear spoiler (only slightly bigger, maybe the Cupra one) and possibly side skirts as the side profile is a bit bare, might also colour code the bump strips!
Let me know what you think!
Cheers,
Josh

yer the clip normally snaps on it, well it did on the fabia, The garage we bought it from actually just put a very small screw in the cover so it kept it down, works a treat

Cheers, yeah rempa is deffo on the cards, think I'll do it onece I've got used to the power tho and also gonna do the whole breathing system first in order to get better results! Looking at a supersprint exhaust (Turbo back) which I've heard very good things about but can't find a UK stockist! :(

looks fantastic mate, and glad you love it. As above a remap will make it lethal. First thing I would do? Either take off or spray the bumper strip red! I love the alloys on it but spray those calipers red.... and you know what, that's about it :) .
REVO remap and lower it, will be awesome then!
Looks nice though Josh, not normally a fan of them tbh.

Cheers Greg 1 and Greg 2! haha
Lowering will probably be first, hopefully on Coilies! I was planning to do the bump strips and also chop a Leon Cupra R splitter to fit it, seen this done on a few FR's and it looks awesome! After that will possibly be black wheels and roof and then once I'm used to the power REMAP! Apparently a good stage 1 remap will get it to the 190bhp area!
I'll be sure to keep you all updated! :)

Looks good Josh - its red tho ?
lol just an excuse to keep polishing it tho eh ?????
I was gonna say get a Cupra R splitter - actually looking for one to fit on the Coupe too

Cheers Mark! Yeah, tbh I was never keen on red till I started looking at new cars and saw a few Astra's and Ibiza's in red and then that's the only colour I wanted, searched high and low to find one! lol, and yeah there will be a lot of polishing! :)
Yeah the Cupra R splitter looks really smart on them, and apparently all you have to do is bend it slightly and once its on just trim the edges which run into the front arches!
Will be the first mod I think as I'm having a cheap month after buying the car and the LCR Splitter is only £18 from SEAT! :)

jnc90
07-10-2009, 06:27 AM
Yeah the part number that I got from the Ibiza forums is 1ML805903. A few people on ther have done it and they all say they got it for between £18 and £20 depending on the dealer.

Made a list of exactly what I want to do to the car so that I got something to stick to and not go off track with silly things and I can strike them off as I go and also to see what its gonna cost me;
Green = done
Red =to do
Sportz Blue headlights and sidelights - £20
Ibiza FR red and black mats - on order - £40
Euro pressed plates - £30
Powdercoated black wheels - £100-£150
Lowered on springs or coilies £150 + £60 fitting
Leon Cupra R splitter = £18
Possibly BOV (please do't shout CHAV! lol) £90
Full turbo back exhaust £300
Green cotton induction, single cone £90
A pillar gauge holder with boost gauge and water temp. - £70
Stage 1 remap to around 180bhp and 390 torque- £300
Colour coded bump strips - £30 ish?
Orange strut brace - £62
Boot install - 2 subs amp and new door speakers - Christmas present :)
Maybe when its all done then;
Possibly a black roof vinyl but that's doubtful as I'm also thinking of getting some 16" steelies, sprayed white with a red lip if I ever fancy a Euro look for certain VAG cruises! :) lol
