The C2Club Midlands Safari Park Meet III 31/10/09

Back by popular demand, and the previous success by Simon, i am pleased to present, the latest C2Club safari park meet!

The safari park is a great idea for a car meet as previously shown, you drive round the park in your cars, with plenty of photo opportunities with the safari convoy, and obviously animals you dont see dad to day within reaching distance.

The park also offers family entertainment, aswell as for adult in their cars :)
Admission not only includes the 4 mile safari drive-through, but also a variety of attractions which we can explore on foot. These include Discovery Trail, Seal Aquarium, Creepy Crawlies, Sealion Theatre, Seaquarium, Reptile House, Animal and Reptile Encounters, Hippo Lakes, Deer and Goat Park and Safari Express Train Ride to the Amusement Area.

I propose to go in the last weekend in October the 31st, and hopefully it will be a smooth and agreed date, with good weather.

Price is also a consideration in these tough times, but is quite cheap for a day out:

The park is midlands based, but the day will defianlty be worth the travel!

Just remember the park closes in October I believe, and it's usually weekends only for the last month :)

Got the opening times and schedules here if you want to have a look, seems to be open till 1st week of november this year :)

They open on the weekends at normal hours 10-6 and then weekdays on off peak hours 10-5 from the middle of september which is pretty decent.

Thats the calender of the park, we could make it just a normal day or go during the illuminations period, or even when they have the bonfire on but that would appear as if you cant drive round the park (but i will check that)

I want to get the date sorted as I hate it floating around at the moment.
I think 31/10/09 or 01/11/09 would be best, or at the bonfire night special. Please put your issues forward if you have any, and if everyone is happy or prefers either of the 3 dates, let me know or I will choose myself 8)

Well was gonna get something sensible like an Astra 1.9 CDTi but the insurance changed thier minds and rocketed the quote to £6.5k! lol

So now I'm completely going for speed over style and getting a 95 Toyota Starlet GT Turbo, hopefully in white. I'll do what I can to it to make it look half decent but it will be a flying machine! :)

Well, if anyone does want to convoy and is travelling down the M6 meet at Hilton park services: WV11 2AT (junc 10a/11 i think), meet between 8:30 and 9, then head over to WMSP at 9 to get there by 10. (50min drive from there).

Definately agree. been up and down there twice, on Sunday and yesterday and there are three 50mph sections going up and down. 22-23, 15-14 and 13-12...maybe more! :roll:

thats crap that, i really wanted to go to this just i didnt want to travel the 4 odd hours on my own, glad i didnt now like.

most C2 club meets turn out like this now. a few mon ths ago we had a meet at the baltic in gateshead and around 15 people turned up for that just nothing got planned for the day so after about 1 hour everyone just went home.

I said I might go but was at hospital all day with poorly step daughter.I remember the Cituning meeting when I had my C2 about 45 turned up.I suppose with the way things are at the mo ppl are struggling sorry for Cozzi tho as he must have put a lot into this.
