Coilovers, improves looks no end with improved handling BUT they're more expensive than springs.

Id go with coillies dude, Theres nothing better than a c2 slammed on its ass, and i dont think ull find any springs thatl give it anywhere near the same drop! You can sort the tints and induction out later on! :)

1 question what are coilovers

height and damping adjustable suspension mate!! basically you can lower your car by like a silly amount with the right kit.

I'd go coilovers mate, springs won't damage your shocks but it might take a week for them to settle properly!! i got koni shockers and extra low's and I wish i'd have got coilovers as the front isn't low enough for me...

hope that helps? lol

at the moment the main problem is trying to justify the cost (nearly £700) to myself for just lowering it.

£700 sounds a bit pricey mate got all mine sorted (bought and fitted) on FK's for around £450

thank you :) are they as good as the silverlines?

Mr_C2_GT
20-11-2006, 09:52 PM
To be honest I was nearly tempted into buying the silverlines as they apparently are supposed to last longer due them being stainless steel coated i think. But then again I haven't had any problems from mine and I highly recommend them. All depends really how long u intend on keeping the car? If your looking at around 5 years or so then I'd go for the silverlines otherwise you can save a bit of cash and get the same look

23-11-2006, 08:59 PM
doesn't take too long m8 only really the length for the two log books to be sent off the donor car and the other 1 much quicker to go to the dvla office tho. they said it would take 28 days sending them off i went up there got it sorted in 20mins and the docs came through the next day lol...

it should be okay buying it private not too sure what too look out for when buying as i bought mine brand new lol.

hope this helps

Plate, definitely the plate!

scrap the plate hes had so many problems trying to sell that.

its had so many owners too first person was a member on c2sc who had it haha!.

although if you do get it you may have the same problems in trying to sell it. but by then there will be more c2s so may not have a problem i guess :)

upto you i would get the coilies or the option of the induction kit though dunno

If it does cost you £700, just remember the increase aswell in your car insurance premium.
Most insurance companies increase your premium more for coilovers due to you are able to vary the height from day to day.
Unlike springs where they know you are limited to a fixed height and the premium only goes up a little.
