Okay,

This is my work hack. After a belt snapping issue, she's back on the road and all is well. My dad bought this car new in 1999 and sold it to me last month for £500. He's still using her when I'm not, and she's going stronger than ever. 117,000 miles, warrented, full service history - receipts for bulbs - and now, new brakes.

Figuired I had a day off today, so I'd have a run out in her. She doesn't look much, but I love this car and intend to run it as a banger for as long as it is viable, and keep some miles off the C2.

The only problem is that I don't skim as much profit off the fuel allowance if I drive this.

For 117k it isn't bad at all. Now I'm used to using it again I might fetch it out on Sunday. It is dirty and covered in bird turd though. Silver is very flattering, and I still love those early CDX alloys.

That Vectra is 130PS in a car that weighs the same as a house. I've STILL got less poke than Nathan.

Of course not. Dual exhausts make them go LOADS quicker. Although the Vectra does feel quicker than Mikes Code, but then again, his doesn't feel that quick. Apparently.

It looks in good nick for its age and well looked after. But sorry, I think they look terrible cars lol. I bet it's still a bit nippy though.

It isn't slow by any means, and the MV6 Omega we had didn't feel a great deal quicker around the doors. It looks DULL, the only redeeming feature is the door mirrors, which I have always loved. They're useless if youre parked on a busy road though, as you can't fold them.

It's got a few rust spots on the doors and boot but nothing that isn't easily fixed.

I've killed it, headgasket failed on the A167 this morning. I didn't even get to Chester le Street, so I've abandoned it on the garage's forecourt with the keys in and walked home.
