hi just thought i would make this how to guide as reason im doing it for is i have put a 4-1 manifold on my car and as it has no cat when ever you do this the engine management light comes on and i just find it annoying so i have removed clocks and toke it apart and used black electrician tape over the warning light
don't worry as when you do this any other warnings on mk2's show on the centre display also its just so it does not annoy you when driving :D :D :D :D :D
please take car when doing this
to start with disconnect battery please good idea :D :D

go to car and the sorrounding on the clock just pulls out so i used a small screw driver to ease it off then pull gently

now you can fully remove

there is only 3 star screws holding clocks in see 3 pics below were im pointing at

there u are clocks out
http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn110/tease1986/P1010068.jpg
http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn110/tease1986/P1010069.jpg
if you would like to get into clocks to do what i have done you now have to get clocks and theres 4 push clips see pic below 2 on top and 2 on bottom
clips on top
http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn110/tease1986/P1010071.jpg
clips on bottom
http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn110/tease1986/P1010070.jpg
and then just plastic cover pulls slowly off
http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn110/tease1986/P1010072.jpg
to put back together do the reverse and you can't go wrong HOPEFULLY lol :D :D :D :D
if you like to change lights inside these are not buls there leds soldered onto the circuit board meaning not that easy to just unclip and change over unfortunatley but any decent electrically shop will sort you out.. ;)
