hi guys & girls have been thinking of setting a meet up for a while.....

....although at this point im gauging interest to see how many people would like the idea.....

... i have noticed that some of you have expressed that people arrange them on there door step and other people are not willing to travell and only afew people turn up.....

....Skegness is not on my doorstep as such its 2/2 and half hours from where i live, i wont to get people interested and commited again.

When: late august / early september
Place: skegness (will arrange meeting place/day carpark)
Plan: weather permitting, meet in skegness, park up, take some photos maybe, have a chat get talking, make our way to the beach, set camp up for the day as in windbreakers/deck chairs/ other nesseccarys, have afew beach games like. volley ball, frisby maybe beach bowls i think its called could also have a competion 'who can make the best sand sculpture' (could be a prize?), also hopfully have a beach BBQ if the beach patrol will allow it! although for all that the weather need to be pretty much spot on, if the weather is not so good it will be a basic meet try and find a place like bowling/group activity although there are LOTS of arcades! :D

also this meet will be open for suggestions i.e add ideas of your own, and if people agree will try and make fit in :D or works the other way if you guys think my ideas are rubish take them out, or you think the hole thing is a rubbish idea please tell me, i do like feedback!

your opinions please also one more thing as i have never done this sort of thing before i maybe relying on other experienced members to help me please :P

Well its good to plan it all now, you might get people who cant attend at the date because once its gets closer they may have other things on or vice versa, you might get new members who sign up closer to the date and decide they want to come!

Sounds a good idea, if I can make it I'll go. Though if its sunny, getting any spot in skegness beach will be a challenge :P .

As long as you dont pick a date thats close to the school holidays we should be fine, me and my 2 friends from work went a couple of years ago to skegness just after my birthday and we went on Wednesday Nov 1st....it wasnt as cold as you'd think but the summer tourist season ended on oct 31st so we were a day too late and everything was shut!! Still dipped our toes in the sea and stuff but its all about timing i reckon

I think early september maybe just when the weathers getting cooler and the kids are starting to be due back at school - whenever that is would be good!

yeah man i understand what your saying i appricate the advice i wouldnt arrange it on a bank holiday or anything like that because it just wouldnt happen i.e no parking spaces no room on the beach, packed in the arcades etc... lol

If we can get a date sorted out for this then it can be put under an official meet - i will do this if you want adam.

Weve got the camping trip for 21st of August then Trax on the 6th of September so the end of aug/beginning of september is not looking to likely, what about beginning/middle of aug then hopfuly u will still get the weather.

Ppl seem to be really interested so i think it would be gd to get some dates down so we can start making some names down etc.
