Ive seen loads of different solutions.

tar remover, soap, polish.

the one that interests me the most is to use cooking oil!

what has everyone else done to remove dried up tape from their car without lifting the paint?

..just remember to wax over the area afterward - the nail varnish remover will take the wax off in that area....

i tried the tar wipes,

they helped but the bits where the tape wont budge - ie where it looks like stuck on paper! are proving difficult.

whats best to use on these bits? and to apply with?

just wet it and pull it off bit by bit other than that megs bug and tar remover. :) when peeling it off dry, try breathing on it to make it slightly moist so it won't stick to the paint when you pull.

would be afraid to use a blade as its on the front bumper so i can see myself gouging into the plastic!

the tape has torn ellis, wont seem to peel
