How many times did it take you to pass you're test?

Did it on my second attempt, would have passed the first time but luck wasn't on my side:

I was pulling out at a t-junction, turning left and there is a little bit of a bend in the road. Saw there was a big lorry quite far away, had time to pull out, so started to, but what I didn't see (not coz I wasn't looking but because it was impossible to see) was a car overtaking the lorry, so as i started to pull out the car suddenly appereared from what seemed like no where and i had to pull into the side otherwise it would have crashed into me as it must have been going a good 80mph on a 50 road! Failed coz of that!!!!!!!!! Stupid car lol

Passed with flying colours the second time though :D

Exactly the same thing happened to me in Quinton, B'ham, but with an invisible escort van, so I spose' not exactly the same but near enough.

My third go (and passed, surprisingly,) had an XR3i go sideways on me, to check out a tall brunette, and a taxi driver try an ram me during a 3 point turn, and!! did 35 in a 30 missing a turning he asked me to take! Blagged him though said, "oh sorry, didn't see it cus o those parked cars", the truth was, I woulda' been on two wheels had I tried, lol.

1st time less than three weeks after my birthday. no lessons just 3000 miles :)

First time, 3 minors - easy! ;-) Had to really, my car was sitting in the garage, and my parents said i'd have to start paying for lessons myself if i failed :-)!.

Well, before anyone sez it's cuz' I'm a crap driver, I's got 4 years and 5 months no claims under me belt (touch wood, arr crap there's another opening.)

1st time = Fail = Speeding...round islands...only 3 wheels, whats the prob?

2nd time = Fail = Instructor was an arsehole, and the invisible eccy van thing.

3rd time = Pass = Despite someone running into the back of me before the test, n speeding past the turning he asked me to take. Think he only passed me due to a fear of sitting me again, lol.

I didnt have to take that, i passed my theory just before they introduced it. I passed first go, about 2 months after my 17th birthday.

Picture the scene I was sat waiting for him to work out what was on his bit of paper then he says ""you've passed!"" That's it then I am not listening anymore when he said ""but a few things you might want to work on.."" I got 13 minor faults you're allowed 15 (if i remember rightly)! I just thought yea right i'm off to buy my car! Went out while Jody was at work and purchased myself a 1.4 (i think) Bright Yellow NOVA!! For my sins. Had a body kit, blacked out windows, alloys, an alarm that said "system armed and systen disarmed"! when activated! and a dodgy back exhaust box which made it sound quite loud! and was basically a SHED! Still I liked it and it did look quite good until you got up close!

Still like I said this girls passed everything FIRST time, whether it be by the skin of my teeth or not that isnt the point! :D

3rd time, 1 minor :D!

1st test - 2 majors and 6 minors (forgot what that was)
2nd test - 1 major 4 minors - some invisable car turning in to its drive 100 meters down the road (thats what the A*** failed me on)
3rd test - 1 minor, Traffic lights, WTF?

I've got 7 years no claims, so I can't be that bad a driver!

1= fail stupid mistake

2= pass 3 minors, if it takes you more than 4 your just not ment to drive!

1st. Should have pass, took wrong lane at round about with no minor

2nd. Forgot I had a test that day went out night before, stayed up all night round a mates house. Was all over the road. My fault that was.

3rd. Air bag light came on, so they had to stop my test. (don't really count as a fail)

4th. Passed With 3 minor

1st time in ahem 1986. But I'd already passed my bike test on the same route so it was a PofP. In those days (!) there was just a test and a few questions afterwards.

A mate of mine had bought his dad's yellow Lada off him and every time he took his test in it, he failed surprise surprise.

Eventually he went to an instructor and used his car (a Triumph Dolomite) and he passed the next (first) time.

There's a lesson there somewhere....

Clean sheet no minors. Same as my cousin. Must run in the family :roll:
Seven people went out at the same time as me and I was the only one who passed. Did mine in Lichfield.
Then after doing so well in my test less than a year later I rolled my first car :roll:
Goes to show. Driving lesson don't teach you how to drive. You only learn to drive once you've passed your test and on the road. Your more likely to have an accident driving as you did on your test than if you forgot everything lol. All down to the fact you have to drive for every other idiot on the road as well as yourself.

got mine on the 4th cos they bastids kept failin me for the most retarded reasons!!!

took a wrong turn but it still went back to the test centre so he fails me!

another time i was reversin around the corner n some woman came sat a few metres behind me - she wouldnt move on so i continued reversing n he failed me again!!!!

passed 2nd time, first time i was reversing round a corner and a maxd integra type r came behind me and just sat there (normaly people go round ) so i just sat there and basically forced him to go round me instead of clearing the junction. Had 6 minors and 1 major, 2nd time had 6 minors bosh bosh job done.
