Chris, I have a few ideas for a rolling shoot for the magazine, one could be in the centre of town by Deansgate but it will be extremely busy and can easily break the convoy up into 2-3 bits. I will have a look for alternatives this week when I am in university, do they want it by a landmark or can it be anywhere in the Greater Manchester area???

Probably only get the cars in one shot at the other end of the trafford centre as its packed at the moment from 10am onwards, queues on the motorways and everything :? All the car parks are packed out.

There is a hotel on site at the Trafford Centre, think its a travelodge ;)

Otherwise there are loads of hotels in the city centre which is about 4-5 miles from the trafford centre :D

3. 12.00pm till 2.30pm Members who wish to have a drive of the C2 Alien, will get a chance to drive around the estate/chosen location and have ears bleed from the ICE.

4. At approx 2.30pm we plan to drive in convoy with Alien C2 at the front down to a location at the Salford Quays about 4 miles away for a great backdrop for photoshoot.

5. At approx 4.30pm have some food at the Trafford Centre???

Simon, Trafford Centre shops open at 12pm on Sunday, the Disney store opens at 11am ;) so would say 11am the food court and other places will be open

Alternative routes from the M1:

J24 A50/A500/M6: The A500 is now fully open (ra ra Highways Agency). Avoids most of M6.

J35a (I think) over Woodhead to meet up with the M57/A57 through Manchester.

The Baslow/Buxton road is horrible, esp on a Sunday it's full of old gits and suicidal bikers.

thanks for that but im really quite family with all the road thought derbyshire (i used to be a delivery driver round that area) i will prob be going via the tops in peak forst along some of them very long straight country roads!!

the only prob i find is as you hit stockport, its usually mental, esp in the middle of the day!!!!
