heyy. im Amy and am from reading in berkshire. and hope some ppl are from reading too.

i am looking to buy a C2. as someone kindly drove into the back of my corsa and wrote it off.

anyway i am looking for a 1.4 furio in black,manual and petrol preferably.. but all i can seem to find is the semi-automatic, paddle changing ones. what are these like to drive?

and any help on what C2 is best etc would be awesome..as im a newbie to these cars..

Hey Amy!

The Sensodrive isn't too bad really, the changes are about 1second.. Maybe 1-2 seconds, but unless your trying to race someone or on a drag strip you don't notice it.

Their good too, you don't need to worry about the gears at all and you still have the paddles incase you do want to change yourself.

I've had the VTR, its the same as the 1.4 gearbox just its a 1.6 instead for my first car and its a good car to drive.

if your after a 1.4 then furio pre 2008 will give your the sportier body the same as the 1.6VTR and VTS. post 2008 it becomes a 1.4 VTR as citroen renamed them.

theres a mix of manual and sensodrive (paddle shift) c2 owners on here who all have their own views.

ive got a manual :) and never driven a sensodrive.

I'd also look for the 1.6 VTS, their 125bhp standard, and can easily be modified to 150bhp which is more than enough for a while.

They also have the splitters that the VTR/Furio have.

It depends on your insurance, the VTR is group 6.. The VTS group 8.

I'm not sure on the others because i've not got one of those, but someone will know :D

The VT* models, and the GT too are all quite hard due to them being the 'sportier' spec.

Its not hard at all though really so don't worry about that.

Yes, the VTS comes in a 1.6 Petrol Engine, and a 1.6 Diesel Turbo engine.

Both are very capable.

I've a VTR, but changing for a VTS in September.. I was set on a CooperS but like the C2 too much :D

Good choice! :wink:

A VTS is the highest spec.. They also do a 'Code' version of the VTS which has leather and that, but you've got Furio is the 1.4, then the 1.6 VTR (Sensodrive) and a VTS which is the same 1.6 but with a manual instead. Its also got 15 extra bhp :)

What about a 1.6 engine, else the 1.4 will want you wanting abit more power really.. Thats my opinion though :)

girls in general do look good in black cars, especially blonde ones. But im a big fan of the vts blue, not an easy choice.

Females dont usually have massive insurance premiums, so id go for the C2 VTS, the same build quality as the furio but faster and in my opinion better looking

i find the vts really easy to drive as well, so no more "someone went into the back of me and wrote it off" hehe

get white wheels if you go blue its different and looks lush their is a lass near mine who has one and has got the chevrons on the loeb centre caps done blue to match the car set the wheels off nicely. if your not sure what the centre caps are copy the link and have a look they are red on my black wheels :)

Mines £2500 a year on the VTR which takes the piss, but I can just about afford it so have to live with it until it comes down.

The 1.6 will be the best idea because i'd imagine you'd want to keep it a few years atleast? Thus meaning the 1.6 will be enough performance to last.

But yeah.. I'm moving from a Sensodrive VTR to the Manual VTS because of the extra 15bhp and the manual. I like the Auto of the Senso but I personally prefer manual.

The Semi-Auto Paddle 'box has got to be doing something right.. Mercedes and BMW along with Audi use it in their more up market cars =)
