DIY ? Yes, easy. With the right tools (below) I reckon it is a 15 minute job the first time (as you are scared you are accidently unbolting the gearbox or something and five minutes from then on.
These instructions are for my car, a C2 GT. I can't see it being any different on the VTR or even the Furio etc. though.
Park the car up on a flat surface and make sure you get the wheels straight. You will need:
10mm socket and a rachet drive, maybe an extension bar
Wide blade screwdriver
Screw driver with 6 pointed star Torx bits, do not know the exact size.
Old blanket
1. Lay old blanket under front of car. This gives you something comfortable to lie on while working and will also avoid any scratches on the bumper once it falls, er, you take it off.
2. At the front of each front wheel arch, you will see a small hole in the arch liner. Looking straight up here you will be able to feel/see a 10mm bolt. Remove on both sides.
3. Lie down in front of the front of the car. Look up at the underside of the bumper, i.e. get your head under the car. You will see two more 10mm bolts, one at each corner of the bumper. Remove.
4. While you are down there, you will also see three big headed screws. They are not realy screws as such as you simply push them in, but they do unscrew to get them out. Remove all three.
5. At both corners you will also see two black round plastic things. These are poppers. Simply pull down on the edge of the bumper (will be colour of your car) at the same time as pushing up the arch liner/undertrays (black plastic). They will simply pop out. Does need some effort but don't worry, the undertrays and the bumper is a lot tougher than it looks. Remove all four.
6. You can now get out from under the front of the car.
7. Now facing a front wheel (i.e. looking at the side of the car), simply pull the bumper outwards and forwards from the wing. Do both sides so the bumper is free of the wings. You will see the plastic tabs on the top of the bumper that slot in.
8. Now, above the radiator/bonnet catch is a black plastic strip the runs the width of the car between the headlights. On this you should see four screws with the 6 pointed star heads, i.e. Torx. Simply remove all four.
9. Clear your blanket of all tools etc.
10. Simply lift the bumper from where you removed the four Torx screws. Pull towards you I.e. away from the front of the car. Imagine the bumper flying off forwards if you braked *really* hard. I.e. keep it at the same level as it is on the car but just move if forwards. The whole bumper will come away. It isn't heavy (it is only plastic, no metal comes away) but do not pull away any further then you need to lower the bumper onto the blanket. I say this as the wires for the fog lights are not very long and you may strain them if you pull too far.
11. Do what you need to do, i.e. bulb replacement, meshing etc.
12. Refit in reverse order. Remember that the under trays/arch liners tuck inside the bumper.
13. The black plastic poppers that you pulled off can be a pain to get back in, but they don't seem to do much anyway, so next time I won't bother.
Cheers
