Hello all..
I am currently considering buying a C2, either a VTR or GT.
I currently drive a 206 quiksilver and am looking for something with a bit more ooomph.. without crazy insurance, as im only 18.
Any stories about the "sensodrive" gearbox would be appreciated.. It sounds like it could be fun.. but is it any good??
Thanks
Chris

Hey mate,
The C2 VTS/VTR/GT are very cheap on insurance groupings compared to other similar cars. I had a 106 Quiksilver before and there's a big difference between what it was and the VTS in terms of "oomph" :P . I'm sure someone else will tell you the delights of the VTR sensodrive.

I changed to a VTR from little 1.1 and it was a fantastic jump, I am a very lazy driver and so is the other half so its always in auto but the paddles a great fun when you get on a nice road and jus twanna have a bit of a play. Obviously the VTR and the GT are the same power but off the line (from what I have seen) the GT is quicker but once up to speed the VTR can deffinately hold its own. The box itself is great for the price, remeber the price of the car is less than the price of the box on an Astin Martin, it is a little sluggish sometimes but you will get used to it and learn to love it and how to use it. The only time I hve had a problem with the box ws completely my fault as I knocked it in between auto and manual so got an error. Restart the car and it was all gone.

As for the senso, if u ask me it depends where u live!
I live in the Rhondda Valleys and we have a lot of bendy mountain roads round here that are used for the Wales rally GB so I love the flappy paddles, 2 hands on the wheel chuck it in to corners using the paddles feels very rally like haha!
However if u live in an urban/city place I can imagine it would get tedious!
Plus the full auto mode isn't great, quite rough chnages! Hope it helps! :)
