Hey all,
Got my 2004 C2 GT yesterday....Love it! Im looking for a head unit to replace the standard one. I have looked for advice in existing posts but am a bit confused lol. I would like to keep the stalk control and also have an Ipod connection if possible. Also i would like audio outs for sub etc. Can anyone recommend a head unit to support this and recommend the adaptor etc i need?
Many Thanks

The wire you can get from Halfords, its around £49 for the stalks to still work.. Plus £5 for the patch lead from that adapter to the headunit.
Everyone on here says you need the Citroen lead, but I used that and it stopped my stalks working, so took that out and it all works fine except the screen on the dash if you open a door it freezes with the text on it.
You can get a Double DIN in them if you take out the little tray, or single DIN can just replace your standard one.

i recently bought a alpine 9882 and am happy with it, it has 2 wires running out of the back and they lead to the glove box where i have my usb memery stick and my ipod. i also bought the steering wheels control kit. be warned its alot of wires. so much so i swapped the head unit and the draw around to give the wires more room.
oh and a little advice on usb extension cable, the ipod one was free but the usb wasnt so i went maplins and it was about 15 quid cheaper than the audio shop i bought the cd player from
the reason i got both cables was i didnt want to have to remove the cd player again so if i ever lost my ipod i didnt want to have to go through the ball ache of taking it out ot put a cable on it.
the alpine 9882 is very good, its not too expensive and i find it easy to navagate the ipod, i also love the fact it charges the ipod at the same time.

Just out of interest..
How did you get the Memory Stick into the glove box? I thought it was all sealed when I felt around it :?

the fuse box has a poor fitting cover, the 2 wires (usb extension cable and ipod cable) easily fit through with the cover back on

Ah right, will have to have a look at that.
Although now i've drilled a hole in the back of the pocket in a corner to stick the wire through anyway.

i was going to do that but the plastic didnt seem strong plus i wanted my ipod out of view.
id rather not say who but a major car audio shop messed me about for 14 days (they said they were ordering it but i dont actualy think they ever did and they still have my deposit).
i bought my cd player in the end from bass junkies warrington and i have to say they are brilliant, excellent price, excellent service and they even had everything i wanted in stock, so within an hour of leaving the store my brother in law had fitted it in the car, brilliant.
after being messed about it was lovely to get it all sorted.

I got this for £50 from Aldi. SD slot, USB in, Bluetooth handsfree and streaming, pre outs. Brilliant bit of kit. No stalk controls, but for £50 all in I can live with that.
Don't bother with the Cit lead. Just swap the red and yellow wires round in the harness.
