Midlands Meet - 01/02/09 - 12PM - Star City

Hi all,

I would like to organinze a meet, i have no location planned due to wide spread of members, but if people would be interested, then somewhere can be discussed based on numbers and locations of people.

it would be good somewhere well lit and out of the wet and cold, e.g. indoor car park etc. to get some good photo's aswell ;)

Please put your names down, it would be nice to meet you, and as above it would be good either on the 25th Jan or 1st Feb (Sundays) fairly soon too.
(or other dates if necessary, to get a good meet at last)

Hey im new to the forum and am collectiong my C2 GT on Tuesday next week so would be up for a meet as im in Nottm area.

Of course beacause i will of just got my new car i wont mind a bit of a drive!

Its completely stock so would love to see other peoples cars to see what is possible and get some ideas for my own

Ok i think Derby seems to be quite central to everyone in the midlands area. There is a McDonalds near Pride Park - DE21 6NZ? - It has a rather large car park and i assume it will be lit. Perhaps this could be the location for the 25th at say 7:30pm?

If this is good with everyone lets try and confirm numbers. If not then scrap the idea! lol

i wud think earlier than that cos most shopping centre car parks will be closed by then.

if it was to be at about 8 or 9 and its 2 - 3 hours away i dont wanna be getting home for like 1 or 2 o clock in the morning and thats only if i stay 1 hour

If we went to Derby that would be awesome for me :P, derby has plenty of car parks. Also cinema, bowling, Quasar etc. If you're on about Mcdonalds at Markeaton roundabout thats not too well lit, but the one near Pride park is.

All depends on the day and what you want to do. Sundays arent good days for things staying open late but im pretty sure Maccy D's will be.

Well the other option is we have 2 meets, one on one week then next on the other. People either go to one or both. And yes ASDAs are good.

i think here would be quite good, and i could check what time it shuts. it is in Walsall,but have a look at those pics, and how would everyone feel about that and getting there?

i possibly wont go to this meet then as its like 3 and a half hours away and if u wanted it to start at between 8 - 9 just say i spent 1 hour ther that takes me 2 10pm plus 3.5 hours to get home thats like half 1 to 2 in the morning

ohhh stoke is wonderful for me, i know loads of places round there!! erm...perhaps festival park(in hanley), big carpark at the back of toys r us/bowling would be perfect. would you like a postcode or anything?

If it's not too far north from Sutton then i'll be there. If not it would mean driving north only to have to drive back 2 hours south. But will let you know for definate when we have decided a location. (Star City has my vote!!)

Stoke could be ok for me long as its the 1/2/09, sadly I work part time on sundays though and dont finish till 4ish, so wouldnt be there till 5 at the earliest, but if people want it earlier, then **** happens, i'll just make the next one :P.

as englandsc2 said, it is full of chavy boy racers, and if there was a meet there, even with me beign so close, i WOULDNT go to it.

They put speed bumps all round that place to try and get rid of the boy racers, didnt work, they just sit round more. I also got fined for having my spots on a few years ago when I went to pick up my bro from the cinema.

SOT would be a great place to meet, as I live there :P but you will get the coppers down there if a load of C2s are in festival park.

Freeport Talke, M6 JN 16 then down the A500 for a little bit.

I'm re-doing the caps, their too blue for some reason.. So am going to re-do them and see if that makes them better.
