OK, no need for introductions!
In most steps you will have to repeat the operation on the “other” side

despite the gap above the bolt, it is not big enough to get your finger in!
3149

Remove the nut and bolt (requires a 10mm spanner) at the rear of the wheel arch. Undo the nut then completely unscrew the bolt by hand, reaching up from inside the bumper area at the back of the splash guard (this is not fun).

3151
3152

Remove the press rivet at the bottom rear of the splash guard. Just pull on the smaller of the two discs.

3153
3154
3155

Remove the two screws at the inside bottom of the bumper with a T20 torque tip.

Unclip (pull down) the two tabs from inside of the bumper. Do the next step virtually at the same time. This is best done with two people, one pulling the bumper out and one pulling the clips down but it can be done with one person.

3163
3162
3161

Pull the bumper outwards and in a slight arc backwards. It must clear the two mounting lugs in the bracket and the clips (from previous step) must be fully disengaged, see picture.

3160
3159

Open the tail gate about 45°, look down into the gap. Insert a screwdriver into the two clips and push down until they clear the lugs. Gently pull the whole bumper to the rear until it clears.

Reassembly is the reverse. Be careful not to over tighten either the nut and bolt or the T20 screws.

Did you actully take your bumper off for a reason, or just for a guide?

Well, I “obtained” a number of large, deep scratches on the rear bumper (I don’t know how they happened but I think my younger son was involved). So I took the bumper off and had it repaired and resprayed. The photos were actually of me putting the bumper back on but the topic heading “how to put rear bumper back on” just didn’t seem to make sense, LOL.

Just done this job.
Undoing the bolts in the second picture is a lot easier if the wheel arch protectors are removed first.
