I had the exact same problem with mine matey, my center dash kept freezing once I closed my doors, Central locking didn't work, sounds like the same scenario. My uncle sorted mine for me though, not entirely sure what he did, he got two connectors which were already clipped in the back of the head unit, and just simply swapped them around.
Sorry don't know the precise instruction. But hopefully a slight bit of help/

well thats pretty strange m8, my Sony HU is on a permanent live which is pretty standard as far as I am aware for the C2, something to do with the arsing up the cambus system if its on a switched live- can't remember exactly :? I basically take the face off each time or just hit the power button as I've got the HU set to auto turn off after 30 seconds. I'd firstly try taking the stalk adapter out of the equation, I've had trouble with them in some cars before - sometimes the HU just doesn't like them at all.

To stop the freeze on the Dash, DISCONNECT battery and leave for 2 mins, then reconnect, this then allows the ECU to reboot and realise the OLD h/u has been removed, that will sort the dashs freeze out.
Due to the complex canbus sytem the new H/U WILL always stay on, there are two ways of sorting this.
1. Swap Red and Yellow wires over so Red goes to Yellow and Yellow goes to Red. (Problems that sometimes occure with this is loss of memory of radio channels and after a few mins of sitting in car with engine off the ECO mode will turn unit off "Unlike then normal 10mins given")
Or Keep the Red wire connected to the Perm live supply and take a separate switched live feed off the rear of the cigarette lighter.

And to make the stalks work you need two parts of an adapter, which in total from Halfrauds are about £40.
There's a Citroen bit and a Sony bit, and they join together and join the stalk wires to the back of the HU.
