Hi im new here i only got my c2 yesterday its a 56 plate 1.1 design. and i want to connect my ipod to the stereo whilst keeping all the standard functions on the car ie stalk control ect. i refuse to pay for the ipod box from citreon, but how can i connect my ipod to the standard stereo apart from fm trans?
Or if i change the hu for my alpine what do i need to keep all functions like the head up display and stalk?
Can it be done, i am so confused! Please help me! :?

You need one of these for a 2006 C2, and then you'd also need to get the Alpine adapter as well.

I'm about to get an Alpine iDA-X100 for my Audio project.

Make sure the stereo has an input for steering wheel controls. Not all do.

It'll also need a USB or iPod input, preferably rear mounted not on the front, for discretion.

Alpine, Sony, Pioneer, Kenwood all offer models with these inputs.

Ive heard from some people that if you put an after market hu in you loose the head up display like the time and date as this is controlled by the standard hu is this true?

only on the newer models of c2 - the mark 2 and possibly the mark 3. If you have a mark 1 then you should be fine!
