Hi people. Not been much of a poster on here to be fair as I haven't needed any help up till now.
I'm currently building my sound system for my 'Pride and Joy'
So I was basically wondering if anyone could enlighten me, maybe even Sag himself on how to do the following. http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c138/sagvtr/Install%20Pics/DSCF0006-1.jpg
I want to make my speakers sit flush to my door. But it looks like a tricky job, so what material would I need, and what techniques.
Many thanks
:)

Mate if you want them sitting FLUSH then you wont want baffles like Sags as they petrude away from the door card, surely you can see that from the picture you posted.
If however you wanted to make baffles then you will need to cut a circle same diameter as the component and then 2/3 small bits of wood to make it come away from the door card and hold the ring out. Then you would fleece and fiberglass over the top, sand and smooth. Then spray or trim.
If i was you i would search "building door baffles/door pods" etc on google to get a step by step guide.

loads of how to and useful stuff on there
Hi mate,
What you want to do is get some baffles knocked up (usually 12/12/24mm depending on how far out your speakers will be mounted)
Glue these in position on top of your speaker grill (making sure they line up with your speaker). Cut out the apeture in the speaker grill so you have a hole. Using fiberglass and filler, mould the build to how you'd like it.
Tidy up the inside of the baffles by sanding round them or again using some filler. It should be quiet a simple build.
Luke at Plush-Automotive did mine but thats the basic methedology. Ellis has made some himself so maybe able to help out too.
