And me, is it my turn again to arrange something, ;-) or someone else Dan ;-)
Or even Missysunshine you could have a crack at arranging a meet.

If not I will start consulting my diary l8r and start putting some ideas down, at least we have good weather at the moment, so I will see what I can come up with. I have no problem with arranging things for you all. But I will stand aside if you like.

I think all future Gatherings are to be put through to Jody first, that way he can make them 'official' so more make the effort to turn up :)

Simon72
19-07-2006, 07:27 AM
Well I can see the point in that, but if we only want to have a quick few hour local meet, I can't see the problem with that???

Danny
19-07-2006, 07:30 AM
Well of course Simon, no one can stop you meeting up, I think that there have been a few small meets arranged in the past where no one turns up or backs out at the last minute and it doesnt look good for the Club as a whole.

Im sure Jody may add something about it though ;)

Simon72
19-07-2006, 07:33 AM
Well when I arrange a meet, it is never small, ;-)
Just look at my first "Broke the record"
And then when it heaved down at Cannock we still had 7+ there

Everyone love me, lol

Np Mid September sound good, and gives plenty of notice for people to sort days free or arrange time off work if working W/ends.

Also for people coming large distances to arrange a stay over.

Right lets start the ball rolling....

This is just a thought and the price is about £18.00 per adault but a full packed day out. And if we have enough interest I may be able to do my charm and get a discount.

Absolutly loads to do and well worth a tour of the castle.

What about Warwick Castle on Sunday the 17th September 2006

Warwick Castle Web Site (http://www.warwick-castle.co.uk/warwick2004/index.asp)

These are the main event also on at the castle on that day...

Spectacular Birds of Prey (1st -17th September)

Featuring a fantastic collection of eagles, vultures, buzzards and hawks, marvel at this display of the ancient and noble art of falconry as these amazing birds swoop and dive over the castle turrets. Shows run twice daily, every day. Bird of Prey Experiences are also available. Please call 0870 442 2373 for further details.

Trebuchet (1st April – 29th October)

The mighty trebuchet - a gargantuan 18m tall catapult weighing 22 tonnes, will be shot twice daily in a jaw-dropping spectacle, set against the stunning backdrop of the castle. This year sees a live-action commentary show with the Master of the Trebuchet telling staggering siege stories and the second show of the day will feature the trebuchet shooting a real ball of fire down the River Island.

Opinions Please, and yes Dan will share arrangements with you...

Maybe they do a group discount like Matlock?

19-07-2006, 10:03 PM
A motor museum would be more interesting though imo, and probably cheaper.
