Just got myself on of these badboys
http://jvcmobile.co.uk/kwnx7000/index.html
I've got most of it set up and running apart from the dvd playback which says i need to connect it to the handbreak switch. Has anyone else fitted a dvd player and had to do this or has anyone got any idea how to do it?
Cheers
Ben
I haven't done it myself, but i think you have to tap in to the sensor which tells you the handbrake is on. Legal regulations state that you can only watch a DVD when the car is stationary.

just connect the handbrake wire (pink wire on mine) to the actual body/chassis of the headunit. thats what i did for mine to work

I know about the whole safety thing and i know u can get round it but i dont see the point cus when i'm driving i just have the navigation screen on. I've found the switch just a case of gettin to it now its a bit tight but everything else has been i've never seen so many wires.
Thanks chaps
Ben
you dont have to touch the handbrake! by handbrake wire i meant the one that comes out of the back of the headunit, just connect that to the stereo's chassis
