i have some good 6x9's from my old car and wanna put them in my c2, hows the best way to do it as the parcel shelf comes up with the boot, any ideas dont wanna put a sub in as wont be able to get little lads pram in.
i hate 6x9's but if you want to put them in most people put them in the lower tailgate. will be some pics on here somewhere of someone that has done it

i'm in the middle of making a fake base to my boot and mounting them in the floor, only place that they can go, i wanted them under the rear seats. In between the footwell & seat base, but it goes straight through to the chassis.

I know this thread is years old, but I have recently done this, and it looks and sounds really good.
I bought some Infinity Revolution speakers in the Halfords sale (sound really good!) and then i've tried a few different things...
1. Take off the parcel shelf (it unclips from the two attachments).
2. Cut a piece of sturdy wood that will fit along the parcel shelf (between the holes for the 6x9's and the back of the parcel shelf, i.e. nearest the front of the car).
3. A bit of no nails will attach this wood to the parcel shelf, but you will also need to screw nails in to support it. You can spray this wood black so it doesnt look like a tacky piece of wood.
4. Screw the 6x9 speakers into the holes.
To start with I simply reattached the parcel shelf, complete with 6x9's, to its original position. I kept it like this for a while but eventually got tired of the boot permanently closing and hitting me in the head due to the weight of it. Also the plastic bit that attaches the parcel shelf to the boot kept popping off and rattling.
Because of this, I have recently unattached the parcel shelf and screwed it to the light plastic bits either side of where the parcel shelf would usually sit.
One screw either side does the job, and it holds it securely and looks pretty good! I would recommend that this is what people do with their 6x9's, but it is a necessity to reinforce the parcel shelf... my brother did it without and the parcel shelf bowed big time!
For pictures or whatever, give me a message.
Sam.
