Right havent been on here for a while (dont hold it against me). but in this rubbish snowy icey weather my wipers got frozen stuck, when i turned the engine on to heat the car up the wipers started to try to move, once the car had thawed out, my wipers now only move up about 3 inches then makes a clunking noise like its trying to do a full wipe but it just gets stuck....... any ideas how to fix this? because i cant really drive without them lol. cheers.

Are they still frozen up? Pour warm water all over them, including where the arms are connected to the drive shafts at the bottom. The shafts could still have some ice in them.

Failing that, the motor could be knackered, but I doubt it.

just went to citroen and they said it was the connector that links the first movement into the second and that it was the 5th c2 they had had in today and they wanted £265 to fix it.

simon 72- i will give that ago in the morning bit dark for that now, thanks though.
jerem vtr- nah its not frozen anymore just only works abit now.

You have prob. Spun the spline on the arm, you will need to remove the wiper arms and try the motor again.

Fixed it now. the part above labelled 1 had popped out and bent in half i managed to fit my arm in through the gap and bend it back and re-attached it. had to slightly adjust the arms but it was relativly easy. and touch wood they seem to be working.
thanks for the help.
