I had Michelins on all my old car and they are good tyres, my new car comes with pirelli p-zeros and I would have the pirrelis all day long there brilliant in all weathers! and they have a reasonable life on them! also v-redstien there very very underrated tyres!

Had the VTS for nearly 2 years (14k on the clock) now and the front tyres need replacing soon, i'm not waiting for them to reach the markers, as i believe in changing them when they reach 2mm-3mm.

Looking at the Michelin Pilot Exalto's which are currently on the car is it best to go for these again or try something abit different. I use Toyo T1-R's (15") and yoko c.drives (14") on the mk1 MR2 so was wondering if anyone has tried T1-R's, S.drives or any other tyres they would recommend over the Michelin.

I went for the Pilot Exalto's. Much better than all the others in the past i'd say. My bf has Toyo's on his car, but much prefers the Michelins on mine. Stick with them i'd say.

I went for Eagle F1 GS-D3. Good reviews...better speed ratings than the Exaltos..and a good deal.... :)

I'm gonna need some soon.

Got 2x original Primacy on the rear and 2x Goodyear Eagle F1 GS D3 on the front - unidirectional and pretty good.

http://goodyear.tiremanager.eu/eu_en/popups/TirePreview.aspx?ReifenNr=240345

Prices on Kwik Fit website (each, if buying 4) £85 Primacy or £70 Eagle.

And my post is earlier than both of them. And this one will be too.

I've just clicked thru and KF want another £10/corner for balance, valve and disposal.

I had a full set of 195/45/16 AVON ZV3 when I had my C2 and they were excellent grip in both Wet and Dry, also very good wear and pattern quality. The Mich's are quite a hard compound hence you get a good wear rate out of them.

The Avons lasted me 21,000 miles and that was with quite hard driving aswell.

Think i'll end up going with the Michelin Pilot Exalto's as they seem to work well. Not to clued up on FWD car tyres as i drive my mk1 mr2 alot more. The C2 has very limited feeback so i dont want any nasty surprises with trying new tyres.

The Kwik Fit Prices don't include valve and balance or tyre disposal, so 2 goodyears actually cost £168.80 fitted which is £84.40, if you have 4 then the total cost is £319.00 which is £79.75
If there is a National Tyrecentre near you, check this site out, its the one that I use. You pay them and have your tyres fitted at a National depot, but you save a good few pounds, the goodyears are only £76 each fully fitted however many you buy.

Thanks carpy...at least i didnt get ripped!

Costco will do the Exaltos for £81.06 fitted.......but the £25 in petrol to get there was a factor...LOL!
