Right, another question lol.

I've got a C2 VTR, it's 04 Plate.. And has the electric folding mirrors.

But how do I make the Cruise Control work? I move the slider to the ON, and it beeps, but then when I press any of the buttons and take my foot off.. It just slows down, so it's not working

Could really do with it working as i've got a 4 hour motorway journey coming up soon.

Many thanks 8)

on the c4 you turn it on and then press the set button to set the speed, never used it in a c2 though

Bad C2 (and C3) cruise control switches are a known fault to Citroen. There is a new part number to replace the old switches (if that’s what it proves to be).
The other thing is; the switch action is more positive if you press them at the edge farthest from the center of the steering wheel, not in the middle of the button.

Ah right, thanks for that information.

I'll try that at lunch, i've tried all the things people said how to make it work and even read the book and it still didn't work

Don't want Citroen to rape me on charges either

Near the 3 year old mark on My C3 Exclusive my Cruise Control used to play up now and again. I would be crusing along and the next thing it would reduce power then after 5 mins or so id put it n again and it started working ok. I didn't get it checked as it wasn't all the time and the car was due to go back soon anyway

Oh right.. I took mine to Citroen and spoke to one of the Service Advisors down there and he said they'd need to put it on the Diagnostics, an hour to do?

Ours only take half an hour, so i'll see how much he wants for that.

But when I told him I worked up and Mazda he told me to check behind the pedals there are little switches apparently and they could have been knocked. So will have to check that.

Turn it on and press the top right button to set it at the current speed, then use that and the top left one to inc or dec the set speed. The bottom right button suspends and resumes the speed.

It only works over a certain speed though. IIRC it's about 30+.

There are two switches in the brake circuit. One is mounted on the brake pedal bracket above the brake pedal and the other is on the master cylinder bracket behind the glove box.
One is used for the brake light circuit and the other goes to the engine ECU. Sorry, I can’t tell you which is which.
