1.4hdi urgent help

hi all have a 1.4hdi engine manegment light come on this week had it tested and a code came up as unknown gaage said they dont know what it is any ideas? cars in limp home mode. the guy at garage said it could be bad fuel but i always use total? any ideas welcome thanks

have you already left the battery disconnected for a period of time and then reconnected it to see if it helps any?

yep sure have and nothing tried it a few times as well dam french car, also i noticed that before the light came on the car wouldnt acelarate much just abot got to 50mph and it didnt want to go much further then a few days later on comes the light.

Yo Ash,

I've got a 1.4Hdi. I had the same problem with mine. I say the same, but mine arrived when Angel Tuning were doing a remap on it. With mine, the Injector Codes in the ecu went off on holiday to deepest darkest Peru. It would only rev to about 2000rpm in any gear. I had to take it back to my local dealer and get them to re-program the injector codes back into the ECU. There is a sort of default setting built into the ECU and the Injectors had defaulted to this setting which would only just put enough fuel through them to keep the car moving.

It took my dealer abour 3 1/2 hours to sort it for me. At first they said I might have to go back on another visit as they don't normally do anything with that side of things and they might have needed to get the info sent over from France. But their mechanic eventually sorted it out.

cool that helps i did have an injector replaced about 9 months ago so that may well be it looks like iam off to citroen tomorrow then :( thanks for help will let you know how i get on.
