I ordered some Purflux L358 oil filters for my C2 , and WIX WL7413 arrived , long story short , has anyone used these little farkers or know anything about them ??
I'd never heard of then , which means nothing , they appear to be well made and the correct size.
Google has 6 squillion pages on them but no comparative information that I could find for the paper cartridge ones.
I'm primarily concerned about flow with filtering capability second as they will be changed every 3500 miles anyway.
Any info gratefully absorbed.
Cheers ,
Al .

Hey Fella,
They could very well be made in the same factory, on the same production lines but with a different silk screen print on them and put in a different box.
I know it's slightly different but I used to work for Chubb Fire Ltd in a plant making fire extinguishers. The range of apparent different makes of extinguisher produced was incredible with prices varying according to which make you bought, but all made with the same components on the same production lines. They were just silk screened differently at the end of the process with whoever's name and boxed accordingly.

Hi Carpy,
thanks for the reply, yup hear you on branding , my problem is that I'm told that some brands of filters can cause rattle on start up issues which would indicate they're no working at optimum at any time and I not a clue what the bodgy brands are.
I'm in Aus and we pay around 12 quid for a Purflux filter ( Citroen stealership price) what do you pay in the UK ?
Cheers , Al.
