Hi all, just a few pictures of my new car! Had it remapped last sunday...now running at 195.4 BHP and 267 lbs Torque! fairly nippy off the mark but once it gets going its like a steam train haha!!

You had it on a rolling road? .. 195bhp seems alot from a remap even for a Diesel

yep...had it done at red dot in watford!! did runs before and after! your vrs would be about the same i rekon? the guys at red dot are quality...would recommend them to anyone!

Hi mate similar situation to mine, looks good not keen on the black strip tho...

just a point tho, Angel tunning told me that they could remap the GP to 200bhp and have done in the past but the clutch lasted about 3 months!! So they purposly "down graded the full remap" Im running 180 give or take a few BHP and it great...

how you finding the lag tho! GRRRRRRRR

Red Dot all but erased the lag mate! ther is hardly any there anymore.

Chambers...they run at 130 standard although when i had mine on the RR before the map it was running at 138BHP :-)

Where did u have ur remap done Spooky??

yeah got to agree to get it to 200 from 130 is one hell of a lot, my bora puts out 130 and a remap only takes that to 170

depends who does the map mate! celtic tuning can only get 173 out of mine but the day i had mine done at Red Dot pretty much all the puntos that wer mapped got at least 180...like i said tho, mine was up on standard tho so maybe its down to that???

i'm a member of the fiatforum and as far as i'm aware i hold the record for BHP :-)....had it done a few months now and clutch is spot on so far...Apparently at Red dot they modified a punto to 230BHP and the clutch and gear box wer fine.

not sure how they managed to lose the lag, i find the lag alot worst now, as the remap affect the turbo mainly, so say if you where driving along 10-20mph then you put it in 3rd with you foot down it like takes a good few seconds too kick in and then all of a sudden it goes mental! sometime I think its abit too much power for the front weeks and ESP goes mental and the car judders abit!

I guess Im being picky!

Have you lowered it yet?

I only lowered mind 40mm at the front and about 35mm at the back but im struggeling with it. The Plastic protective cover under the car catchs on every single speed bump. Thinking of taking back to standard springs, I think it will fail it MOT in a years time cos it wont go on the ramp!

dunno...ther is a little lag ther when doing 20 in 3rd and then put ur foot down but nothing major?? 2nd gear is mental tho...pitty you cant turn the esp off!

I havent lowered mine mate, not going to bother...i'm keeping it standard other than the remap and some speakers...did the whole modifying thing with the C2 so not bothered on this one!

Same here really, I dont know if I want to put the Punto though all that again! lol im sure my VTR got F**ked up because of everything I did to it!

Although I have been looking for a Induction kit recently (I cant help myself) they are really hard to come by for the 1.9 JTD, and they are expensive, have you see any?

Yeah 2nd gear is rev happy, I must admint I do sometimes forget about 6th!

Red Dot where i had my remap done do induction kits...they had loads the day i went down but apparently they are a nightmare to fit (not a case of a few jubilee clips like the c2 lol)....if you had one done your prob hav to get the remap done again tho wouldnt u??

saying that, when i had mine done the manager said to everyone that wer all welcome to have mods done and the re-remap would be free!

Also, because my car only has 6000 on the clock they said i could go down at around 15000 miles and they would re-tune it to suit the engine better

i do loads of motorway driving so 6th is prob the gear i use most lol! what MPG u get?? i'm currently gettin about 55mpg?

I dont think a Remap would be needed, you dont have to remap when you fit a induction kit from stanard?

by the way it has got a ESP off Button (its next to the hazard warning light...)

I went to see that Abarth the other day, didnt really like it that much,
the calipers and inside is nice but I dont like the black trim running round the arches that the new grill lay out.

that button is the ASR mate...its just a small part of the ESP...the whole system cant be turned off completly :-(

What colour abarth was it mate??
