Ok, so as we all know, a ctiroen c2 with fogs lights, looks alot better at night time with them switched on. The only down side to it, is you get flashed by every old biddy who moan becuase your blinding them and just to anoy you, or flashed and worse pulled over, by the old bill.

Ive goten over puttin my fog lights on now becuase this happens to me far too much, and im sick of the hassel, but thats fine, im OK with that.....

The one problem ive always faced, and more so now i have l.e.d tail lights, i much prefer the look when both the top and bottom strip of lights are on.

Mines a mk1, im not wether you have to do the same on mk2s or not but im gessing you do, and that is you have to twist your front fogs on the front on first, before you can put your back ones one, thus having the front on to have the back on.

How can i can around this???? Apart from disconnecting the front fogs, becuase will still wana use them when possible, any ideas?????

You could always wire the rear fog lights to a seperate switch but if I remember correctly, the switch itself, has to be self illuminating, as a reminder that they are switched on because the dashboard warning light will not illuminate when they are on. Remember to disconnect the original wiring to the fog lights, somewhere that is aesy to get at because if you change the lights back to standard you will need to re-connect the original wiring.

Using rear fog lights in normal weather is dangerous for drivers behind you. If you stop at a junction with them on and someone pulls up behind you, their eyes adjust to the intensity of the light from the rear of your vehicle. When you pull off, it takes a while for their eyes to adjust to the new light levels making them almost temporarily blind.

You can try it for yourself. Have a light on in a room and look at it, get someone to knock it off, look around the room and see how long it takes for your eyes to adjust to the new light levels (if you cover one eye when looking at the light, then when it is off uncover it, you will see better through the one that was covered than the other one). When it is foggy, the density of the fog lessens the luminocity of the light making it dimmer, which is why fog lights are so much brighter than normal lights.

I know, I know, I know, Carpy's in anorack mode again.

your still gonna have the same problem as having your fronts on, people flashing you and getting pulled over for having your rear fogs on!. drivers with rear fogs on p1ss me off more than those with front ones on, constantly beaming in your face when your behind them, at least with front fogs coming in the opposite direction they are only in your face for a couple of seconds.

DONT BE A FU*KING C0CK,

Fog lights are for FOGGY OR BAD VISIBILITY DAYS not for LOOK, i hope someone rearend you because they can't see you using your brake lights.

It is againts the law to use them in normal driving situations, and I hope you get fined for the misuse of them.

The following is an actual highway code extract!

94: You MUST NOT
use any lights in a way which would dazzle or cause discomfort to other road users
use front or rear fog lights unless visibility is seriously reduced. You MUST switch them off when visibility improves to avoid dazzling other road users.
Law RVLR reg 27

201: You MUST use headlights when visibility is seriously reduced, generally when you cannot see for more than 100 metres (328 feet). You may also use front or rear fog lights but you MUST switch them off when visibility improves (see Rule 211).
Law RVLR regs 25 & 27
211: You MUST NOT use front or rear fog lights unless visibility is seriously reduced (see Rule 201) as they dazzle other road users and can obscure your brake lights. You MUST switch them off when visibility improves.
